Steve E. I drove that Gulf car when it was first built, with the old red paint, That thing is such a blast with the short ring an pinion. That car has the same torsion bars and suspension set up that we run on our blue car. Just curious how close were you to top time o day?

Discounting a couple of wickedly fast Corvette's, I think Steve in the Gulf car was fastest with a time of 86.6 topping me by .1 secs. That's of the times that were displayed (neither all of his nor all of mine were displayed). Tawfik and an NP Cayman were also very close. I didn't see any other cars that were close to TTOD, but by no means did all cars get times.

I don't think we did that bad up north.

According to the times listed;

KP-Bill...86.6=91.88
Tami.....88=93.36

IS-Morgan...91=92.5

GP-Jackie...90=93.6
Mark.....92=95.68

NS-Tawfik...87=91.785

FS-Gary.90.145=90.956(2nd run group time)

Don't know what Dave, Shelia and Ron had.

Dan

There was no official timing, this was based on earlier run times. Just multiplied by the BRI index.

Gary, I see a future event t-shirt in the making. That is perfect. Shouldn't there be 5 mice with stopwatches? :lol:

My best in practice was an 89. I just couldn't get any heat in the Hoosiers, too much time between laps. Toyo's would have been better.

Steve,

I can understand how you "fixed" the timing gear to fail but how can you muster up a Thunderstorm at will in Southern Caliifornia no less? Isn't that going to extremes to keep Goliath away? :roflmao:

I can't wait till the next event, maybe I'll even get to run in timed runs this time. :roll:

Gary, that's awesome. Now we have the front and back of the t-shirts. I've gotta have Katina make some up when she gets back from Japan. :lol:

Now that is funny! Although I think "Speedy Gonzales" would be a more representative rodent.

Thanks for coming up gang. Sorry for the issues that marred an otherwise awesome day.

I'm looking forward to making it back down to SD soon to continue the smackdown. :beerchug:

Steve:
I only brought the Prius because I thought you needed some easy competition for your GT2. I was trying to help you. Then you blame those flat spots on the Gulf car on me. :shock: I did notice some problem with the ABS in the Scheussler's car. :oops:
Well, we're going to give you another chance, but this time we're bringing our own stop-watches. And, we'll all be wearing the new Gary Burch Design Goliath T-shirts.
You better get some Mouseketeer hats for the Davids.
