According to K1 Speed's website, they haven't been reserved by Evil Overlord Corporation this Wednesday night (yet...) so K1 it is.
The green flag drops at 6:30 pm. Let the stomping begin

(If they sell the place before then, we'll go to Miramar Speed Circuit, watch this space for the latest poop)

Better turnout than 944 spec!

Postby LUCKY DAVE on Wed Dec 17, 2008 10:07 pm

Well, there were 15 of us there, the best pca turnout yet.
Jad showed us how it's supposed to be done, and there was enough banging, shoving, ramming, spinning, and general hilarity to satisfy all. I managed a best time of 29.45, and I think Jad was faster still, but neither of us could catch the resident hotshoe (who is all of about 17 years old :banghead: )
Till next time......

Here's a snapshot of a few of us. Although I thought Jad had a better time than it shows on the website? I had a blast and its close enough, even in a torrential downpour, that its convenient for northern participants. Thanks Dave for getting this going! Now I just need to lose a few pounds and you all are toast!

This is the last race info, pretty cool site for K1. Even though it was Steve G's Bday we couldn't let him win...

The top 5 were only 0.28 seconds apart. That's impressive. Congratulations to all of you.

Kart Racing? Did someone say Kart racing? We have been doing this for the last year up in the great white north (Ontario K1). Perhaps it's time to do a David vs Goliath (Nord vs Sud) challenge?? If we are all in the same Karts do you think SDR can handle the Hockett brothers?

Just a suggestion: Consider Tuesday for your series. Its a 3 race for the price of two night so you can save another $10 each. $5 off coupons are also available at the K1 website so on Tuesday it's 3 races for $35... cool.

I'm about to leave on a long range fishing trip (18 days at sea) and won't return unitl the 21st.
Hopefully our new ancient tradition of Kart racing (adhering to the "Ben Hur" rule book as usual) will continue in my absence.....

There are no private events going on tonight at K1 so bring your A game and try not to get black flagged (don't get caught!!). See you tonight.

not couch hopping! I have to change furniture every year or so it seems. I think our present couches are fine but the Mrs wants leather in the living room as well as the family room. At least my house will smell like a new Porsche for a while!
