Nice. The engine isn't even in the car yet and already the accusations are flying. That's what I love about this club. :surr:

Sorry to disappoint on the 300BHP, my 915 won't handle the torque and Mark K. would be very upset if I "grenaded" his rebuild work. I'll settle for the stock 964 HP. That'll keep me in Jackie C. and Mark R.'s mirrors.

But, since I'm at the very bottom of I-Yai-Yai class at 22 points, I'll research the tire thing a bit more carefully. I've got plenty of room in I-Yai-Yai. Thanks for the tip. :banghead:

Sounds good, Dan. Welcome to the "Is there any hope of catching Otto" class. Steve G., Greg P and yours truly look forward to playing together. Maybe we can talk Paul Y. into re-joining the group. Mike Cornelius is tempted to jump into II from JP, too. So, should be fun... :D

If I continue driving the way I did for my timed runs at Big Willow, no problem catching me :banghead: On the other hand....

Hey Ed,
I'd like to stop by and lend a hand if needed, or just drool over your rebuild.
I'm a couple miles away from you, near On The Border...pm me or send address to rsylvestri@cox.net

Ed, how did DAN take all the fun out of your motor drop weekend. ball hog. :!:
i just had to chime in to take his name off the "last post"
That was my .02c about the class, IS, the class that needs a little ribbing.
Your motor drop should be fun, take both the gear box and motor out, you know what some say...
WHILE YOUR THERE...
or you can get silly with the cleaning in those spots that are hard to reach. or weld in some top of the shock braces.
but, does that make it a tube frame car.........?? let's not go there, yet. :?

I'm not sure I'm taking my trans out too. I've got enough while I'm-in-theres with this project.....Gotta work on the mods to the ignition while the engine's down too. My focus is the engine and keeping her time off the road to a minimum.
