Ahh well that was kinda decided Saturday...
See Jim Duncan is a TT tech chair...
While he was at Simone's checking things out he pointed my car for me.
OK bottom line if a can drop 20 points in 3 weeks I will be in AM.
I'll enter AR1 at Spring Mtn. and start dropping points for next season.

By all means enter AM at Spring Mtn.
Please take my right seat for a session Saturday.
Since we are not competeing in the same class we can share track tips, right? :D

Hey how is your new Qualtech* paint job progressing? 8)
Can't wait to see it!

*shameless plug.
Qualtech is PCA member Mark Tyler’s new 25,000sf auto paint and mechanical repair center.
On the north side of the 8 fwy, just east of Mission Gorge.
Easy to see on right side when westbound on the 8.
It's the gray building with the digital time/temp sign and a 20 foot tall Superman on the roof.

Price goes up after this Friday. If you haven't registered yet do it now if you think there's a chance you might attend. Also, be sure to call one of the Pahrump hotels ASAP. Space is tight as this is the best weekend of the year there.

Riz:

You've become quite the animal since our introduction at the PDS a couple of years ago. You've come a long way in a short number of years.

Glad to see a 944 driver/Instructor could make such a good showing of teaching an AM class driver how to knock 'em out with your great driving . I'm also glad to see at least one of the AM drivers looking forward and upward toward the competition, instead of looking backwards and downwards toward KP. Nice going, Lad! How soon should we expect to see you topple the AR-1 class guys? Any predictions?

I'd keep one eye on little Curt, though. Those light-weights with big HP engines can be like a mosquito in a dark tent: can't seem to find 'em, constant annouyance, and a stingin' bite.

Keep up the good work, wild-man. See you in the pits at S.M.

Who you callin' little Curt? Have you been setting up spy cameras in the porta potties again?

I'm not sure why Dano has such an interest in what goes on in AM and/or KP. That'd be like the AM and KP drivers obsessing about what's going on in the ALMS or Grand Am series. :D

 Spy cameras!?! YIKES! :o Now that's an ugly thought. :nono:

Hmmmmm. Maybe I should have said "keep an eye on those little old AM bretheren in AM class......" That way I could cover both Curt A. (little) and Dan A. (old) in one phrase    (Yea; just stirrin' the pot a little more...)

My facination with KP and AM? Nah! More like my interest in what may happen if I ever get out of G, and into J or K class ( Mmmmm Mmmm Mmmm: I'm still dreamin' of that 944Turbo race car parked in my garage ...... )

Ummm Dano... you just described Riz's car as well with that statement...

I unfortunately do not fit into the big HP category like those two...  However, if you would like to sponsor an AM car and live vicariously through it, we should talk... All I need is parity...no need to leapfrog to win...

Man, its like throwin chum out at the Great Barrier Reef... Here they come!!

"Parity" says the guy who, at Buttonwillow, had less horsepower than me for the first time in 7 years of head to head competition.

"Parity" says the guy who insists he won't play the "tire game" then shows up with Kumho 710's instead of the Victoracers he convinces the rest of us to run on.

"Leapfrog" says the guy who sold his 2.4 911e when his best friend started running a 2.4 911e and his arch enemy was going to put a 2.4 e spec motor in his T so we could all have identical cars. In Dans eternal search for "parity", he immediately sold his 911e and bought an RS clone with a 3.2 liter motor. Now the rest of us had to chase Dan way up in cla$$$$$$$$$$ and try and build a similar car.

So yes, I can clearly see after examining facts and actual history how Dan is a strong proponent of parity and is staunchly opposed to any sort of leapfrogging.

In Dans dictionary:

"Parity" = when Dan has slightly more horsepower, slightly more torque and stickier tires than his competition.

"Leapfrog" = when an opponent achieves slightly more horsepower, and slightly more torque than Dan has.

Chum works every time...

"Parity" As in overall performance...when we 'had' equal cars in performance (which includes more than just hp) and I could not pull you at all on the straights, in fact you could still pull me slightly.
"Parity" as in how many of those years were you running 265's when the biggest tire I could run was a 245?? ..
And I have yet to match the 245's you've run as your front tires since the beggining....
And I have just recently put in a post 73 suspension which again you have had as an advantage since day one...
And to top it off I still do not have the short gearing you do... :?

So when you decided on your motor, knowing I had a 3.2, you went with an expensive built 2.9 for parity??....

In Curts Dictionary...
"Parity" = when Curts spent enough money to win... :surr:

"Leapfrog" = well, it's not in Curt's dictionary....

Let the games begin!! :beerchug:

Now back to your regular programming....

Dan A: I'll grant you credit. You've consistantly driven well with your remarkably out-gunned 911. Anderson, Tweed, Kinnenger, and the rest of 'em have had a real battle on their hands against you over the years. One of these days I gotta ride inside the Gulf car.

As for sponsorship: Uh, if I sponsor your racing program, who will sponsor mine? Maybe we can get our spouses to sponsor our needed improvements :roflmao: .

Okay, so here's my short dictionary.

Com pe ti tion: 1)See AM Class at PCASDR  ; 2) to agressively challenge any and all opponents to out-drive, out-write, out-smack-talk, out-spend, out-dream even their own friends and co-drivers in class 8) ; 3) an event where the true measure of success is measured in our own minds, dreams, and fantasies  .

Sure is fun to play gyroscope with you guys. All I have to do is get the toy spinning, and you guys take over.

Riz: what's your take? 8) (Remember when I mentioned "Winjin'" before?) Looks like I woke the "little ol' AM bretheren" up. ("ZZZZZZZZZZZ snort! snort! Wha....?")
Boy ..... S.M. will be really fun to watch this year. I'm running in the yellow group this time just so I can watch the Red Group duke it out (not to mention the fact that my times justify Yellow Run Group status  ).

Geez Dan, you take a hand out compliments pill this week?? :D

Thanks just the same.
Although, remarkably outgunned may be an overstatement... a 3.2 in a light car 'was' an excellent combo for AM at the time... I also beleive Tom was running only a 3.0L? And he could still beat me... I think the 3.2 is still competitive, it just needs to be like Rizzy's...

Hold on to your hats, Anderson should be chiming in any moment now...however, his story has grown tiresome...
