Yes, hopefully my car will loose this habit of wanting to go on vacation to the repair shop after every event.

The good part is it's getting faster every time.
I am currious to know if you ran the Nitto NT-01 vs. Toyo RA1 at Spring Mt? and what is your vertict?
I was going to post this when I got a chance. Turns out I have to apologize to Nitto.

About the same time I put the Nitto on the car, my suspension got messed up without me knowing it. Thus, I ran two events with the Nitto's and the car was a mess. I blamed the tires. Then I got my RA1's back on the car, and it was still a mess

Oops, maybe not the tires. I took it to Steve, and he found the suspension and bearing issues and fixed them. Watch out at the next AX, I'M BAAACK
So, this time in comparing the Nittos to the RA1's, the car was actually a bit more stable on the Nittos and seemed to be just a bit faster (times were about the same, but conditions were better when I had the RA1's on, the car was slightly lighter, and I knew the track a little better). The Nittos do cost about 15% more even without shaving and I do not have a wear comparison as both sets still look good, but if I had to chose one to do a couple of timed laps, I think the Nittos would get the nod as being faster.
To answer your question, I decided to stick with the spec KP tire of the RA1's for timed runs and got my best time of the weekend of a 2:36, which was 2.5 seconds faster than I did with the Nittos, but the car was 200+lbs lighter, had race gas, clear track and I pushed harder so it isn't a real comparison between best times for each tire.
