Dave:

I'd be willing to bet that several Instructors are waiting until after the PDS to Tech their car so the Tech for the DE won't be voided. You might expect a larger response from the Instructors after the PDS. Just a guess.

I'll be Tech'ing my car the week of May 26th, after the new brake components installation. :burnout:

Questions questions... How do you reserve a garage? Will there be tech at the track?

Thanks!

Yes Dan as Dave has answered before, the tech team will be there from 7:30am to 8:15 before the drivers meeting @ 8:30. After that you'll have to catch us between run sessions.

Any tech volunteers would be helpful as of right now it's just DaveQ and myself. I believe the tech will be held in or near the garages of building G3.
"tech in advance if at all possible"

Just PM me if you can lend a hand with tech.

Thanks, Rick

For those who have already registered and want to add a garage just send me an email at pcasdr-de@cox.net

We will have to use Zone 8 requirements: 8 AX, DE, or PDS days as minimum level of experience.
Non PCA experience may be acceptable; please submit info in advance to de@pcasdr.org
18 years old, fire extinguishers*, long pants/shirt required.
*You need a fire extinguisher with a METAL band.

I like to help SD out and volunteer to tech cars. I'd also like to volunteer to tech cars BEFORE the event. I live 15min from Fontucky off the 210 freeway.

Some of you know me :) I have a few years under my belt (and want to help)

Also..

I'd like to instruct. I **know** this is a touchy subject, but I can give you my 22 years of AutoX/TT/DE/Race resume if need be (and I promise to turn in the SD autoX instructor test that Chuck "forcibly" put in my hands at the last AutoX) :roflmao:

I have sent this out to multiple Porsche sites that I run and called people. You *should* start to see some more signups soon :)

Thanks Brad,

We'd gladly accept your help in the tech garage!
Sounds like DaveQ, Forrest and myself will be in one of the garages of G3.
Any qulified help is welcome in the garages.

I'll throw my hat in the ring as an instructor if the team needs help in this area.

Brad,
Only official SDR Tech Inspection & POC tech stations can tech before the even, not individuals.
But you are more than welcome to help out doing tech Monday Morning if we end up being short handed.
Just check in at the tech inspection Garage Saturday morning.
I can email you our tech check list to help you familiarize yourself with z-8 rules and exactly what we are looking for.

As far as instructing, I think you need a check ride after dotting your I's and crossing your T's on Chucks instructor test sheet.
But CDI's are the ones to really answer that question.

Thanks,
