Send the tech sheet to me. I used to do them all the time when running the shop in SD, so I'm familiar with it, but I'm sure it has changed!

CAN WE RE-VISIT THIS...?
i do not agree with the entrance to the track @ t-14 (?). comming out of that turn i (like everybody else, i hope) am on the gas as hard as i can get those squirrels to go. at the chicane or before i'm grabbing another gear to get all the speed i can for the long straight.

t-4 or 5 is the next to the slowest turns on that track, you can see alot farther down the track. my .03. any takers.

Honestly, that is not the entrance I have seen used this year with POC/Speed Ventures and others. Matter of fact, there is NO opening there right now.

The exit is correct, but there are about 3 places on the straight for entrance roads or you can go all the way to the corners and have the entrance there.

I 'd say Greg is correct. There are at least two possible entries on to the track: East side of the Southern straight just past the chicane and dog-leg right, or the West side of the Southern straight (end of the straight), at the right turn turn-in point (assuming the top of the image is "North"). There is also the possibility of entering all the way to the west after the straight and after the right-left-right-left combo's.

Martin Lipp, did you say West side? I'm sure the chairs will determine this for us in due time. Messeur Quesnel needs to be comforted, no?

The last I was told is that the entry to the track was going to be just past the chicane (turn 15). The last 2 years that I've driven there with POC and Speed Ventures we entered between turns 4 and 5. Slower traffic and good vision. There was a corner worker there to aid in track entry. This is just FYI about my experience with entry at the inside track.

I was sitting on the fence as to whether I would attend this event and have decided against it. You guys have fun. :D

Re: D.E. June 15 (Monday) - Almost Sold Out

Postby SDGT3 on Wed Jun 03, 2009 7:58 am

Folks, this is it!!! We've been promoting this event for months and to all the regions. More than likely it will be sell out before the end of the day. If you've been on the fence, it's time to get off because it's about to be closed to any new entries.

Thank you to everyone who are planning on being there for this DE. We wanted to get away from the usual Qualcomm parking lot DE and were not sure if the club would support an "AWAY" DE, especially on a weekday, but y'all have made it happen and we couldn't be happier! :D

Our goal was to see how this event would go off and look for other opportunities for away DEs for next year. Once again, thank you to all those who supported this event and the club. We'll see you in a couple weeks.

Best Regards,

The DE Team

Peter, Martin and Carl

PS: Long range weather predictions: Sunny and 86 degrees for a high. Not bad for the middle of June in Fontana :beerchug:

The number of drivers is great and bodes well for future events!!

so...any idea on the number of run groups or will there be a schedule going out to those that have signed up?

Just signed up, thanks for the reminder.
My previous experience at this track was entering the track between T4 and T5.
Usually cones and a corner worker are there to direct you to get on track.
Exit is at T14
