Joe Duckman, Istill don't think you get it.

I would like to take your quote above to illustrate what I am trying to say by adding a few words to the end of the sentence. Perhaps if you modify it and read it a few times you might see why having a beer after an event is NOT a bad example to those <21 - even though it is before you drive home.

Please re-read your quote above with the words "drinking RESPONSIBLY and in moderation, realizing NOBODY is endorsing drivng at, near ... or over ... the legal limit" appended after the word "folks" but before the period.

Again... .demonstrating an adult approach to drinking a beer in front of minors is NOT a bad example - it is the very best example !!!! ...... AND again ...... all of us recognize that drunk driving is a choice ...... (a very bad one) ...... not an accident."

This was the smartest thing I have read so far.
This thread is like a car wreck, you know you should not look, but you do anyway.
I heard there is a collection going around to give the duck his membership dues back. Is that true?

I would hope the comment about returning his dues was made in jest, but why make such a comment? There are alot of other
things that could be said in humorous way. :surr:

I never recall paying a dues?? I am a PCA member which I thought also payed for my PCA SDR dues. As far as the humor and wise cracks go I can take it in fact I enjoy the commentary since some of it is actually funny (especially the duck hunting game - and yes I do hunt ducks but just the real kind! But the best one yet is the YouTube beer porn posted by Mike ). So bring it on and take your best shots...

Quack at ya!

You didn't pay your dues?..... They are $150 a month...that will just about pay for the beer at the next Autocross.

I like drinking beer, especially after an autocross, and nobody is going to make me feel bad about that.
I like the anticipation after the last runs are completed and the car is packed up.
I like sliding my hand into the cold water to find just the right brew, a Pacifico or a Becks
I like the pop and the hiss of the CO2 when I open it
I like the feel of the chilled bottle as I press to my lips
I like the taste of the cool amber fluid as it rolls past my tongue and into my throat
But most of all, I like setting around with my friends, having a cold beer, maybe loading a few cones, and talking about the day.
