If you read the rules, you are allowed to sign up two cars/classes, HOWEVER, you will only be allowed one group so as not to allow for additional tracktime. Nice try, but nope.

Too bad we can't use AfterEffects to retouch in "Dan Chambers" on the instructors shirt and "Student" on the bragart's shirt. That would be awesome. Would also be funny to place a "thought bubble" above the instructor's head to show what he'd really like to say... Upposed to the more "tactful" words he says to the guy.

If anyone out there has the software and the time to make that happen (and get it approved by Dan) that would be incredibly funny.

Of course you have my permission. Just Photoshop a bowling ball with a goatee into the Instructor image. On second thought, maybe a cue-ball.

what is the point of this rule when regarding a DE?
A DE is supposed to be educational.
right???????????????????????
more track time = more education.
it's not a "race" so who cares if someone has the means to run two or more cars so that they learn faster / better.

i understand why the rule is in place for a competitive TT or AX.

I guess I would have to agree for the DE events, if the event is not sold out, it seems to me that allowing someone to sign up for 2 run groups would be OK.
Only exception I could see would be a student as it would add extra instructor burden. But regular drivers or instructors I don't see a particular problem. Would allow people to test and tune more than 1 car or just get extra seat time.
If there are other issues I am not considering, please point them out. I know at the Festival we often have racers signing up for the TT group to get extra track time

It's the best of Buttonwillow and Spring Mtn combined and closer than both.
Imho much more fun and safer than SOW or the Fontana infield.
Chuckwalla has many fast/long 3rd gear sweepers and very safe and smooth oversize run off areas.
