The new Zone 8 rules are up and posted for viewing. Take a look so you will know what to expect for next year.
They are posted on the SDR Rules Page.

A detailed explanation of all of these changes will be posted on the rules page within a few days.

Interesting new race classes, that will have an affect on some cars :)

Also, what's up with the stock tire size for N class cars as a 255? That was messed up years ago with 993's and now it will be a bigger issue for others in the class like the 996 and 987S.

I am sure there is more that I have not read yet!

Kary,

Here is how the rule reads:
Class - N
Stock - 255
+2 - 270-285
+4 - over 285

Stock tire size for all these cars (including the 987S) is 255-17 or 265-18 which is zero points.

The 285 upgrade is where you need to start taking points.

I hope this clarifies this a bit.

Steve:

Thanks for working so hard on this all year. After speaking with Michael Harris about the changes he had to vote on with the Zone 8 Presidents, I realized the huge number of hours you've volunteered this year to the rules program to help make these rule changes happen. Your dedication to the Region is truly outstanding.

Just one question: when do you sleep?

Thanks so much! :beerchug:

Thanks Dan,

I just had an idea and the zone let me run with it. It just seemed like this was the best way to involve the entire zone in the process. It is far from a perfect process but I think it is getting better all the time and I am sure who ever handles the zone proposals next year will find a way to make it even better.

Sleep? What's that?
