Thanks for posting. Great shots, and the streaming video really put me back at the event. It was fun to see cars like the Elise, Ferrari 308, BMW 2002 and Mini Cooper running in with the Porsches.

Great event, well organized. Kudos to the organizers, and workers. Especially the ladies working the registration and microphone comedy!

Hey, what about that COOL little Suzuki Swift GT, the loud black one....
okay, sorry, lets not kid ourselves, must be the TheraFlu talkin'. I did manage to pull consistent mid-to-low 131's with a best of 131.1XX when the clocks were working.
Crazy thing is, that red Honda Civicthat James Gunn-Wilkinsen and Leslie Cohen were running, is grouped in the same SCCA class as the 'Zuk (Street Touring S, basically a heavy "_S" or mild "_P" class strictly on street tires) were running 126's-128's, YIKES!

The little Red beast turned a 1:26.13 and 1:26.18 with me driving and a 1:27.30 with Leslie. Good times for a car with suspension, cold air intake, smog legal exhaust (stock cat), lighter seats, and battery.
During the first break, I changed all the springs and the front shocks to do some off-season testing. Seemed to help, as the car picked up about 1.5 seconds. Some is attributable to track knowledge, but definitely got at least 1/2 second faster (an eternity in a nationally competitive car).
The 1995 E36 M3 of Ted Drcar was turning 1:27s on Kumho MXs with him driving. I spent a full day at California Speedway dialing this car in a month ago and many partial days prior and probably went through 25 iterations of changes on the 1 day and many more on prior days. Anyway, that car on 710s with me driving would easily have run 1:23s. Shocks, springs, exhaust, intake and seats have been changed (same class rules as the Civic).
I ran a nice 993TT convertible with cool new double adjustable JRZs (Jae RS specials) and did a little tuning. Took the car from a 1:25 to a 1:23 in a few laps. Those shocks felt great and with a little more work the car will pick up some more time.
PS,
The GT2 is for sale if anyone knows someone who wants a REALLLY FAST car that just won the SCCA ASP Solo2 National Championship, the SCCA Pro Solo ASP National Championship and the SCCA Pro Solo Finale.

Well, at the national level, pretty much everything has to be really well prepared. The driver and the car.
Thanks though:-)

Brian,
A 29.01 sounds like a great time to me for a Spec 944. Good job.

Ohhhh, I should have come out to spy on that black 964 #95. On the video first I thought it was Burl's car but then there was no Wing

so I knew it was the Kinninger's secret weapon.
Now the question is: Are #295 and #95 going to be in KP next season? If so: Steve G. HELP!!!, I need fast and lightweight ZERO point parts

My photos from the Other Car Autocross are now up on the website, as well. Look at the lower part of the page (Ted's photos are in the upper half of the page).
Some really nice "at speed" shots of several "other" cars and trucks. Yes, trucks!

Yeah, what's up with that? Had I known trucks were allowed I might have signed up my 450

. Or the Range Rover. I'm soo bummed.
Although, I did test out my Range Rover's new suspension (well, new as in yet-to-be-tested, new). That thing ROCKS! But nobody on this board really cares about such things

Martin,
Actually it does have limited slip. It is just Ford quality limited slip and slips if you are not going perfectly straight. Its like it is designed for a drag strip and not an autocross
