First time Auto-X'er; tire pressure advice please?

Postby Dante on Mon Apr 10, 2006 12:19 pm

Hello all, new member/first post here :D

I've registered for this Saturday's event and was wondering if I need to change tire pressures on my 997C2. Do I up the PSI or leave at stock settings? I'm just running the stock Conti's on 18" Carrera III's.

Thanks in advance; look forward to meeting everyone!

On a new car, the stock setting should be fine. Maybe 1-2 pounds more, but anything within say 5 lbs of the recommended should work and are a matter of taste, track, style etc.

Older cars and tires need more air, but new, low profile tires don't have the roll problems of older tires.

Have fun at the AX.
