Robert,
Your getting these times posted tonight is really incredible.Congrats to all TTers on a fine showing at The Streets, and particular congrats to Dr. Dawson (I think we should give him a PHD in driving!)!

OK, I wanna hear the KP stories/excuses. 95.04 seconds for Jad? What happened? Did he make mistakes in timed runs, drive someone else's car after his broke, or did he use up his tires and put street rubber on the 944T or something? 7 seconds off the pace doesn't seem right for him. I see Martin redeemed himself after the last autox. :D

TT

Now that I've gotten some sleep...still unofficial

Note to those viewing the above results who did not attend...we ran the first half of Saturday counterclockwise. We then switched to clockwise starting after lunch on Saturday and continuing through and including timed runs on Sunday.

Thanks Tom. Yes, I lost a head gasket and Dan Chambers was nice enough to let me take his car otherwise I believe the results would have been a bit different  as I was ready to lose my student, put fresh tires on and add race fuel to improve on my 1:28 in practice :?

Not been the ideal timetrial season for me to date.

Initial prognosis is that Jad's turbo blew a head gasket. This basically made him sit out Sunday. He drove Dan Chambers 944 in timed runs (and did a LOT of instructing).

I was chasing Jad and Martin all weekend. Martin was leading the pack, but Jad was carrying a passenger. In the end Martin won out by a bumper.

Due to the turbo's demise, Tami placed in her first ever TT. She did really great, dropping 5 seconds on Sunday and beating her best time by 1+ second in timed runs. You go girl!

All-in-all, it was a really fun weekend. I gotta say that Jack and Robert run a great event. Thanks to them and all the unsung hero's that also make it happen.

Big thanks to Jack, Robert and all involved, it was a great event! :beerchug:

Big thanks out to Martin for his help on the chicane allowing a 1:26 for me during practice. Of course spinning on my first timed run wasn't in the plans...

Martin also sat out more than he drove on Sunday it seemed (saving tires) so IMHO his Air cooled car would have an even bigger margin over a certain waterpumper if he could have driven more...

I also learned a few things...

1. You do have to brake through the chicane...( Johnny Riz)
2. Never...Ever...Ever....let Martin use your torque wrench....

.....uummm...yeah

...and I learned... dont take good sticky Victoracers off for new Toyo's for timed runs!!!!

Exactly how much did that certain waterpumper drive Sunday? My 1:28 was from Saturday with only 2-3 practice sessions Mr. "I need a bigger wing so I don't spin in timed runs" :P

I was talking about Mr. Ibbetson.

By the way... Whats a head gasket??? Must be one of those waterpumper gadgets...

A head gasket is what you need to replace after a spin!

       Very funny

Dan you certainly blew yours!

Sorry, I forget there are other waterpumpers

And air cooled cars do have headgaskets as well....

Fun event as always. Thanks to Jack and Robert for another smoothly run event.

Choke arama in timed runs but I'll blame it on the lack of tire conservation w no spares. Next time I'll be fully stocked.

Martin - I'll need a deposit for borrowed tools in the future.

Dan, Jad just takes it for granted that there is NO WAY you could be taking shots at anyone but him. I think you better get a good one in at him before he starts to think that he's not your #1 target anymore.

I'll take my second in KP by .13 seconds with my head high as it was done in a 13 point car that was run hard for 6 hours over the weekend. Besides, I only lost because a wind gust slowed me down.

I think that's a boost containment gasket in Jad's case.

... btw, I think it's time you updated your avatar. That certainly doesn't look like the 747 that I saw on the track this weekend.
