Thanks for all your work, Kathy, arranging tickets for the Pageant of the Masters show, hotel reservations, restaraunt reservations and the 356 Concours at Dana Point (oh, yeah, you didn't actually arrange this one yourself! ).

It was a very nice couple days, but it did cost me another thousand dollars for the artwork that we bought at the festival. Do you get a commission?

A big thanks to Kathy Alnwick for organizing a very fun weekend event. Cars left from Hoehn at 9 am Saturday and drove to the Harbor Inn at Dana Point. About noon we picked up some 15 person vans and rode to Laguna Beach. A number of us rode the trolley along PCH and visited galleries and the Laguna Beach museum. Margi went jewelry shopping and brought home a new ring. Then at 4:14 pm we met at a restaurant in LB and had a great feast and much wine. Afterwards, off to see the Pagent of the Masters, which is a wild and magical evening of art and not to be missed. All were home in bed at the Harbor Inn by midnight. Sunday morning we met at the Dana Point Yacht Club for a big brunch and lots of good visiting. Hopefully everyone got a blueberry blintz as they were really tasty. Last, but not least, we went to the 356 Concours where there was a great display of both 356's and 912's. Some special cars included a 904 that is said to be the oldest one to exist, as well as a 959 that looked new. It was a wonderful weekend and we thank Kathy for putting on such a great event. If this is some indication, I don't think you will want to miss the January party.

This was a fabulous weekend. Kathy deserves a great deal of gratitude for organizing this special event. Curt has done a nice job or recapping the weekend in the previous post. I would add that the prime rib and desert were as good as it gets. The Pageant of the Masters presented scenes so realistic it was difficult to tell they were not the original paintings. If this trip is on the schedule next year, I heartily recommend it.
