don't plan on it helping much- I was measured at 89 at the stadium but 95+ at Laguna Seca. Different measurement conditions and weather conditions..... Bring everything you can bring to quiet your car down!

Last year, at the POC event, I got busted 2 1/2 times for noise. Three strikes and you're out for the entire week-end. The practice on Friday usually counts, meaning three strikes starting on Friday and going thru the week-end and you're gone! The 1/2 time I got busted was for continually lifting after turn #5 by the noise station. If they think you're lifting there, they will bust you. It took a lot of time and intervention by the track manager to get them to reduce it to 1/2 a bust so I could have one final chance. In the end, I just couldn't meet their requirements ( by a couple DBs)even with all the plates on my SuperTrapps.
Bill, this is all to say you should err on the safe/quiet side. It's a long haul and expensive to not be able to run. And they mean business --as does POC. POC has to be tough in enforcing the rules. Otherwise they lose a great venue. So, last year, they announce that if black flags for noise are ignored by anyone in the Red Race, they will black flag everyone and cancel the race. And, that's exactly what happened. They said that Dan Davis ignored several black flags in the 1st three laps so they brought everyone in and that was the end of the race!!
This year with races on both Sat. and Sun., the potential to get busted for noise is even greater, so, as I've said, err on the quiet side. I'm going to have the Bee whisper quiet.

I am putting back on my mufflers as well for Laguna this year. I know mine will work for Laguna because tha is what I used the previous years there. It is a real pain to put this tuff back on butthe venue is great and we do not want to loose the opportunity to run here because of noise.

See you guys up there later in the month!

very good, john, but how do you know you will be quiet enuf? are you going to have your car tested before hand? putting something better than the supertraps?

kary, are you running a stock muffler on your car then?

Yes, I am going to put some aftermarket cans on that are below 92 db. They worked up there before.

Important note from MJ above, the sound is different up there where they take the reading and bounces, for those that have loud cars that sound really bounces....

I'm putting the equivalent of stock mufflers on, Bill. I may be slow, but I'll be legal. And the new individual throttle bodies and Motec will more than make up for the loss from the mufflers.

Just a little joke. Wanted to see if I could get a rise out of the doggy!!!! Don't worry yoseff. No changes have been made to the Bee, But I have been thinkin'. (hmmm, if I went back to "R" compounds, and if keep the mufflers on, maybe I would have enough points to...........)You know how that goes. And Bee to Doggy. Bee to Doggy. You're in a higher Class now, GT2, remember?

You're too funny  .
Yeah, look for the Tech Trix guys and park next to us --I haven't talked to Michael, so I don't know if Blake is going and they're gonna use the big rig, or if he's just gonna haul my car up there with my trailer. I can let you know after I talk to him.
We need to make a plan for Saturday nite. Last year, Jr. and I waited 1.5 hrs. trying to get into a couple restaurants in Carmel. Is Mike going? Has he done anything to his new car?
