"Thanks for the good times" Part II

As my Signature suggests, I am no longer employed by nor associated with Dave Turner Motorsports or JMC Motorsports, Inc. This was a very difficult decision based on months of internal turmoil and disagreement within the company regarding management and direction, long weeks away from family, and the desire to fulfill my personal goals. I genuinely hope that my replacement(s) will be able to serve the needs of the Club with the same passion and commitment as I have tried to give over the past few years.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working and interacting with most of you both in the shop and at the track. I will always consider the PCA the very best club in town, with the best racing events and the best group of just good, solid folks. I am very impressed by all of you, and am proud to hopefully have served you in some capacity. I look forward to continuing with my own 924S project and being at all of the remaining driving events of the year!

I am not sure what the future may hold. This was an unexpected but necessary turn of events, and I had not planned on making a change so soon. My wife still has one more year in her teaching contract with Pilgrim Lutheran School in Chula Vista, and we had been discussing relocating back to Austin, TX next summer. This was before we discovered we were pregnant, but I am confident that God will provide an avenue that will meet our needs, as well as His.

Again, "thanks for the good times" as Brad put it a few months ago. If anyone has any questions or concerns regarding any open orders or products that we had been in discussion about, I am more than happy to field them and relay them to the appropriate people.

Hey James,
You were very helpful with my helmet purchase last week at Turner's.
Your departure is Turner's loss.
Spent last week in Austin, fun town, good real estate values and nice people.
Hope to see you at the track,
Mike

Sorry to hear you have left. You were the mainstay, when people came into the shop. Hope to see you at the events and good luck with what ever you do.

Thank you for the responses and emails!

I will not be at the 8/19 autocross, as I will be racing at the last SCCA ProSolo event for the year up in Wendover, UT to gear up for the National Championships in Kansas next month. I've been away from it for a while, but with money tight I don't think I will be running 944Spec next year.....just stick to autocrossing the 924S while stock to save $$.

Thanks!

James

Terrible loss for JMC/Turner. You were the backbone of that company's great customer service.

I went there yesterday to pick up a seat bracket. They charged me full price. When I reiterated PCA discount the guy said "Oh, sorry. Already wrung up. I'll catch it next time."

Next time?? Uh, I don't think so ....... WHAM! One more lost costumer!

I'd have to recommend Group 9 for anyone's needs from this point forward. Kary does a great service for us. Also, Mireage has never let me down.

Good luck to JMC, they'll need it!

James, thanks for the many hours of help and service regarding Monica's and my needs. I wish you all the best in all that you do. Austin sounds great ..... but who will I compete against in GP if you go?

James, I am sorry to see you leave Dave Turner Motorsports. You were the main contact with our club, and represented Dave Turner Motorsports very well. Your departure is a definite loss to the company.
Best wishes to you!
Bob McLaughlin
