The big finale to our 2006 Time Trial season is September 30 and October 1 at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. This year we will be using the new 3.1 mile, 18 turn expanded road course. For a video preview please use this link:

It's difficult to describe just how awesome the new track is. Great for newbies and experienced TT'ers alike, SMMR has got it all. For those who don't know, Pahrump is only a quick 45 minutes from Las Vegas. We've got the track for the best weekend of the year in Pahrump, the Fall Festival, which provides lots of entertainment in addition to all the usual distractions.

Registration is available now at using the fill-in form located at:

Save yourself the late registration fee and sign up now! A summary of requirements for new participants is listed on the form.

Thanks to Kary Clements, our TT Safety Chair and owner of Group 9 Motorsports, for hosting the video.

WOW!
That looks really fast!!

Thanks for putting all that work on the video... excellent production value!

How can any TT's driver see that and not sign up!

Uhhhh...Racing at Miller instead  I even see the venerable VVVince, Van Zandt and others from the POC will be there. You guys are going to have some fun, can I just do timed runs on the way to Miller and still be in the hunt for AR-1

I have been on the fence, but the video convinced me: I just faxed in my entry form for my first TT. :D

Robert was that you driving? Who were the two drivers and what was the video car?
I'm doing Buttonwillow the week-end before with POC, so it may be difficult to make Pahrump, but the video has definitely got me thinking about it.
Very nice video and good driving.
Thanks,
John

Yeah, that's me chasing Jack, shot this past March at the Vegas Region DE.

It's unfortunate that we conflict with the Miller Motorsports Club Race. We'll try to fix that for 2007 but for those of you who can't decide which to do this year, keep in mind that Pahrump is MUCH closer to home. Miller is a whopping 800 miles from San Diego (Pahrump is a quick 300).

For the rest of you who don't Club Race, with a handful of the big boys headed to Utah there'll be more Top 10 slots available and a chance to get the last set of points needed to get you your class win.

Finally, first timers should know that this track was originally built as a training track, purposely designed with just about every type of turn one could come across. It's only gotten better with the expansion, so take advantage of our first time discount and come join us.

What "first time discount" are you referring to? All I saw was an extra $150 for 1st time TT drivers, so I must be missing something here. ;)

The form could certainly be designed better. We'll be attempting to fix that for 2007. Just so it's clear to everyone though, those who are new to our TT's and are PCA members pay just $150 for the weekend (transponder rental is available for an additional $30). If you have big track experience you'll need to purchase a Zone 8 Competition Permit for $10 (contact VVVince@aol.com). Otherwise you'll need to purchase a Zone 8 Log Book for $10 (contact VVVince@aol.com) and instruction will be provided at no extra charge.

That is a much better explanation than the form gives; thanks for the clarification. :)

Can I assume you guys will charge my CC the proper amount and I don't need to fax in a new entry form?

Yes, we'll take care of it, no problem.

Thanks for signing up. Please pass the word around to your Autocross/DE friends.

Here are 2 more vdeos from Spring mountain. The first one is in a 350 Hp Miata! (watch the boost gauge :) This is the shop car from Flyin Miata, a very reputable Miata Tuner in Colorado.

The 2nd one in a Z06 which is probably on stret tires
Enjoy.

The video was great!!!!

Looks like we may have hooked Monica on TT's! Between the video, her great driving at Portland International Raceway (she reeled in some really fast cars in the corners :P ... video post pending... ), and the First-Timer rate, I'm pretty sure she's in!

Now, can we have a run group for cars with >110-HP? Or, does anyone have a spare pair of ignition-wire pliers, so I can slow the competition a little....

:?: 944Spec: who's in? 8)

Hey Dano if you want to make the straights appear shorter I got your lazy boy.
The seat warmer consists of the -20 line under your chair.
Dual dead pedals included, or call them brake pedals if it makes you feel more in control.
Chatter box equipped.
I'll bring my extra 3 inch foam seat cushion/cover for Monica too.

Nice promo video guys!
Jack drives a nice line.
Was it as fun as it looks?
It appears they took out my least favorite section and replaced it with some serious fast and fun sections.
Thanks for the lap!

FYI Saturday during the TT if my 2nd seat is open, jump in.

Mike:

Sweeeeeeeeet! I'm already putting on my helmet!

I'm not too sure about the padding thickness on the passenger seat, but I'll probably be "standing in the sturrups" during the laps, anyway  Your rig is really a beauty!

Hasta!
