Nobody will sell or ship me 5 gallon fuel jugs to CA, because the state has a "spill proof mechanism" law. What's up with that? Is there any place local that sells something I can use???

All the motorcycle stores have them. They are now all embossed saying the will hold tranny fluid, coolant, etc but no   fuel. Easier to get in town than on the internet.

Yeah the CARB tried to out smart the public..... I unfortunately had to find some 5 gal fuel cntrs asap back in '03 when this whole track addiction started.

The "NEW" enviormentally friendly "spill proof" spouts were immediately ditched after the first try.....at about one gallon per min. or longer...sheesh

I still use 'em, but I just unscrew the whole cap assy. and pour into my funnel. :D

The way this state is going, I am surprised they don't have Gas Can Police stopping anyone towing a car or bike. I bought a 5 gallon steel can from Ace Hardware a couple of years ago being stupid enough not to check to see what kind of filler it had on it. Duh! That is the most rediculous piece of junk I have ever seen, but I have to hand it to the designer. If there is a way to modify it to put a plastic hose on it, I would sure like to see it.
