First I would like to say, if I ever catch the guy who decided to close lanes on the 215/15 transition....

Anyway, thanks to Jack , Robert and all involved for a great event! If you thought AM guys trash talk...try sitting in the AR arena... Congrats to Jae Lee on TTOD! you inched out Mike Gagen and was a surprise finish. The hospitality at Casa de Gagen was superb as usual, they get mad when you don't eat their food!! Thanks Guys. Thanks to Anthony for lunch on Sunday, and a big thanks to Jae Lee from Mirage Intl for helping me sort out my sway bars, that helped a lot. And the quote of the event goes to Mike Gagen....while I am taking out the big rear tires from my car Mike shouts out...Hey! why did you only bring the fronts??..

That traffic was brutal!
After dropping the car and trailer off at work I didn't get home until 2:30am... And I am feeling it today.

Jack and Robert, you guys always put on such a fun well run event. Some people have even been known to pimp themselves out to find a ride so they don't miss one of your great weekends.

The new track was incredible! It really has it all. Fast sweepers, tight technical stuff and even some slight elevation changes. Now if we could just get some garages and tire shop support like BW.

Seemed a lot easier on tires this year... at least when I could keep from flat spotting them...Man that ego check is well named...

Thanks again to all who were apart of this weekend.
I had a really great time.

Thanks to Jack & Rob for another well run event! Great call on the Winery dinner Friday night, had a great time running a fun track.

I still think M Gagen should get a 1 second penalty for each ear plug at the last driver's meeting

But up to that point what a great weekend, Huge Kudos to Jack, Robert & the rest of the support team who made this yet another fantastic SDR/Zone 8 Time Trial.

:D Thanks Again !!

What?!? Now, who would do such a thing! Geeze! Of all the nerve.....

Seriously, a great time for me, too. Jack and Robert, thanks for working with me during my mechanical situations Saturday morning/afternoon. It was a great event, and I really liked the track. Really fun and educational.

(BTW: You guys all missed a great parade Saturday morning. The repairs were done at 10:15 :D - but the road was closed until 11:40 due to Pahrump Parade :banghead: What else was there for me to do .... but take in the local color at the parade. )

Big thanks to Carl S. for shuttling me around Friday PM and helping out with the car. Also big, big thanks to Anthony for providing the parts that made my car run again. Also, Tall Mike: Thanks for the "Double-E ticket ride" in the Great White Wonder. We went so fast, I had to re-set my watch back from "The Middle of Next Week."  Thanks, too for the hospitality and support. Jae Lee: thanks for the tips, and good job at sand-baggin' those other fast drivers. You had 'em (and me) completely fooled. Great driving, Dude!

Now: who do we talk to at Caltrans about that freeway closure issue? :grr:

Thanks for the thanks. We appreciate it and hope everyone will join us at all of 2007's events. We'll post dates just as soon as we have them so you can block off your calendar well in advance.

SMMR results are posted at http://results.pcasdr.org/pca.php?database=tt. Final season class results can be obtained from the same page, over to the right.

Definite big thanks for a great weekend!

What's the chance that the transponders registered leaving hot pits? Several folks besides myself (e.g. Mike Gagen) show a first time that is 10+ seconds slower than their second time. My second time in the results match my first Hot Lap time, so I am pretty sure my first time was actually from my warm up lap. This doesn't impact me since my first timed lap was my fastest, but it could skew the results of other folks.

Thank you Jack and Robert.
Fun event, managed perfectly.

The first time for many on the 3.1 conifiguration.
Saturday many of us were still looking for the line after session #3. :?

I had some great instructors in session #5 and #6 Jad (#1 in my BRI) and Jim Duncan.
Jim spent several weekends helping Simone with my car.
Then he turned out to be a super asset at the track too.
Thank you both. 8)

Sano Dano imho our session #8 felt the best of all.
The 2:31 on 710s with you in the car was my favorite lap.
Later on with slicks it pushed (front slicks require another degree of negative camber for full contact).
No more $$$$ slicks for me, serious. :nono:

I see Pual Jr nipped dad by 1/100th.
Watch out Erik!

My bad wearing ear plugs at the meeting, forgot to remove them when I left the AR pit/bench race area.

Jae congrats on TTOD! :D

I'm looking forward to the 2007 TT season.

Unfortunatly my engine broke after five laps, but I really enjoyed the short time on the smooth and technical track. Now I am looking forward to the 2007 season.

It looks like Bill and I are tied in the championship with 52 points each :? Do we cut the second place trophy in half? (Better be a big trophy) :D

Citing from the Zone 8 Rules;

"D. ..... If a competitor competes in all Zone
driving events either Time Trial or Autocross
series he/she will be eligible for one (1)
additional point for each event"

Based on this, Martin, you have 57 points,
Bill has 52, and Jim has 49.

Good catch. Some people's transponders put out such a strong signal that it may have registered when they left the hot pit from a dead stop. The timing program takes the first two laps, so those drivers' second laps would not have been counted. I can go through manually and clearly see where this may have happened so I can correct it. Let's consider the posted results unofficial until I certify them later today or post a correction.

What's with all the DNRs in "X" class? Were those the Supra guys and they just didn't take timed runs? Were any of them going fast in practice?

TT

Per my earlier message I have now confirmed that there were some drivers who were affected by the warp-up lap problem. Results have been revised and I will submit them for posting later today. My guess is they won't show up until this evening at the earliest. I will post again when that's done so you'll know it has changed.

I apologize for the confusion (and also for the lack of times in the Yellow 10 session). We'll attempt to get this sorted out for next season but please keep in mind that any results at the track (since I am doing 9 other things) are really unofficial and even the posted results are subject to inquiry.

Most X class cars didn't end up doing timed runs. Only one Supra actually showed up and he didn't have a transponder so I don't have any times.
