In case you didn't get your fill of Nevada at the Pahrump TT

Lapping Days is having a DE at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway outside road course on October 27 and 28. In the past this group has run in Pahrump the day before our event and some of us have run with them. They put on a nice event with instruction, multiple run groups, corner workers, ambulance, etc., very similar to our TT's, just without transponders.

I think I'm going to attend and if anyone else would like to join simply go to http://www.lappingdays.com sign up. I'm neither affiliated with nor compensated by them in any way, it's just always fun to have SDR people at an event and Vegas rocks. It's more expensive than our events but they expect only about 30 cars total, so an average of 10 cars per run group (and this is a very expensive track to rent). FYI, our next TT is likely to be in early February 2007, so you may want to consider event to help this to minimize the dry spell.

It's a very expensive track to rent. That's why our TT series doesn't go there. And this will be more like a private track day with only about 10 cars per group. So I agree it's a high price to pay, but it's tough to find good spring or fall dates on a great track that's so close to a place where you can actually stay in a nice hotel and have a decent dinner at night. This is about the only place with a track within 350 miles where I can actually talk my wife into going.
