I cut my left rear tire at the last autocross. Is there anyone out there that can tell me if I should:
1. Replace the tire?
2. Cut the loose rubber piece off the tire?
3. Try to glue it back onto the tire?
Thanks

Insert all the liability clauses here-
Now state "the safest thing is to replace all the tires with Porsche approved OEM tires"

Legaleeze asside: Personally, it doesn't look like there is any cord showing, so I would consider it purely cosmetic, keep an eye on it, but I wouldn't worry about it.

I can't imagine any glue that would perform in that environment, cutting it might help prevent it from tearing off into the cord, so if it is loose, go ahead and take it off to prevent further damage.

I am not an expert, but I have run, and seen others run tires with far greater damage without problems.

Tires really are amazingly tough, so I would change it before running Fontana, but consider it fine for AX and street use. Just my $.01 worth.

Jad,

Thanks. I just took it over to Discount Tire and they also told me not to worry about it because the cord isn't showing.
