Technical Session: 2nd Annual - Preparing for the Porsche Owners Club (POC) Solo Sprint Series

Come join us! This session will be helpful to Short Track Series (STS) Drivers who might be interested in participating in the Solo Sprint Series. Drivers with PCA Zone 8 Time Trial Licenses are also welcome to attend.

You will learn the difference between the STS and Solo Sprint Series, and what is needed to prepare both you and your car for Solo Sprints. This Series is run in conjunction with the P.O.C. Cup Racing series at the best and fastest tracks in the West such as: Willow Springs International Raceway, Laguna Seca, Las Vegas International Raceway and California Speedway in Fontana.

You will be able to see a sampling of driver safety equipment on display in the WERKS II showroom from HANS devices and helmets to Nomex suits, shoes and gloves to 5-6 point harnesses and racing seats and much more! It’s all here to try on and try out! There is no charge to attend and refreshments will be provided.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but I don't see much difference between this post and the recent Laguna Seca post that you objected to.

I do not take you as a jerk. I think it is important to realize though that the post I questioned has been posted on almost every forum I have visited. Seems a bit much, seems like a business promotion that has flooded many forums to me. Is what I posted a business promotion, does it cost money to attend? No.

Since we seem to feel that anyone can post for any club, business, organization here I thought I would promote something around safety for time trail that POC is offering. POC has some great safety rules that PCA does not have. At least I or someone else is not making money off the post. It is a tech session providing information at no cost to anyone.

There is a response in the other post to my query saying that we do not need rules unless it gets out of hand. Well we might see if that is the case now and the future, wouldn't you say?

So if there are no rules as was suggested, might as well post as one sees fit, right?

First, this is a Porsche related event and POC has similar goals to PCA, and it seems like something our members might be interested in. So from that stand point it seems totally appropriate to me. All new users come through the Forum web team and we watch non-pca event stuff very closely.
There are going to be changes to the forum they are just not easy to implement and will take some time.
But stay tuned...
