First showing will be a big showing ....

Hmmmm .....

After reviewing the spring driving events schedule for SDR and OCR, I find our new "death star" 911 will have it's track debut at the Streets of Willow Time Trial. 8)

I think that's quite syncronicitous since I was interested in purchasing the car specifically for big-track events. :D

I've scheduled a complete tune-up and general inspection for the car in preparation for it's first big-track event. I've loaded the tool box with the typical extra goodies needed at big track events (threw away the anti-freeze, though...), and there's just enough room for Monica and I to travel in the car with minimal personal gear.

Is there anything else I should consider doing to the car, or bringing along? (Yeah, Yeah ... I know ..... "a little skill wouldn't hurt  " Har, Har!)

If you guys can think of anything, drop me a note. Thanks!

Dan,

You will need an oil cooler to run the big track in an SC.
I have a 28 row Euro cooler with all the brackets and hoses you will need for complete install.
I will let you have them all for a song.

And yes, I really have these! Unlike the owners manual that I can't find...
Just put my hands on them.
You can pick them up at the shop Monday.

Hi Dano,

Maybe some extra relays/fuses (red-black), on my '77 it was a DME relay that you don't have with an SC.
On Streets in March you should be OK with the trombone cooler you have, though the 24 brass is much better. The P.Owner on my old '77 w/3.2 didn't put in any cooler, so I installed all the brass lines and 24 row brass cooler myself from Flea-bay purchases. Kind of a fun weekend project
Kept the car much cooler for summer driving and track stuff.
Have fun @ Streets, I'm missing that for Big Willow / Speedfest.

ohhh... engines in the back trunk

Fantastic! I'll give you a call. I guess I can stop browsing for coolers in EBay now.......

Thanks, Steve.
