This is unfortunate. Not sure why this is not coming up. I will look into it.

Kary,

It still doesn't work. I think your /pics and /videos folder or it's content doesn't have the proper access rights.

403 forbidden

Server configuration does not allow access to this page. Please go back and try again.

Yes, I check that as they have read presmission on files and access to directories in the pics and video tree. I will keep looking. Wish our site allowed uploads directly......

Martin,

Are you going to Willow?
I put in a passenger race seat and need some help with big Willow as this will be my first time.
Last time you helped me , the look on your face with the short sub-belt and stock seat at Streets was priceless
Your voice was a little higher too

Rick,

I am not officially a Time Trial Instructor. Last time Jack and Robert asked me to help out at Streets due to a shortage of instructors. Big Willow is still new for me too.

I am happy to hear you got a race seat for the passenger, my voice is still a big high pitched

See you at Willow.

I may be wrong but i thought the POC rules state the wing cannot be higher than the roofline?

It just appears that way in the picture given my angle...kind of like Tim C's position in turn 5 at the speedway :)

You can check it out at the event. Is even with the roof line and even with the rear bumper. Looking forward to testing it out along with some other new items on the car!

Seems like everyone is getting wings. Is this a driving club or a flying club? It's been a while since I've been to WSIR, but unless it's changed a LOT I don't see the point.

Thought I read somewhere that ...

Real men (and women) don't need wings at WSIR

Jack, did you whimp out and get a wing too?

Porsche launched its 911 RS 2.7 in 1972, whose big duck tail reduced lift by 75 percent at high speed. Now a trademark of the 911, the "Whale Tail" appeared the following year on the RS 3.0, and it completely eliminated lift at the rear tires.

These items only reduced lift. You need a wing for downforce which makes the car much more stable at turn 8 and 9, thats the point... :D

Ummmm..... thanks Dan. I do know what the point of a wing is. But many of the people who are getting new wings for this weekend have been bragging about going flat out through T8 for years. Now suddenly they need wings, for what? Couldn't be to go more flat out. So all they will end up doing is increasing drag on the straights?

The only new mod I'll have this weekend is a motor that runs. And, as with every other time I've been to WSIR, if I don't go flat out in T8 I will have only one thing to blame: Me.

See ya @ the track (finally).

 More flat out...thats funny! If thats the case Mike you are correct, if you are already flat out the wing will just create drag, especially on the front straight. Although I would guess it would feel safer and more stable? Maybe lessen the pucker factor. You are a better man than I, I won't be going, I am not a big fan of 8 or 9, or the oval at CFS. Give me a technical track and I am happy....
