Thank you Bill for noticing and yes, I was still pulling out big rocks from the undercarriage as I was switching tires today. Riding with you afterwards was quite an experience. Your times are very clearly limited by the car, not the driver because you definitively drive the wheels off that 968.
Martin, you surely would have been looking at 1:31's had you not put the four wheels off exiting nine. Nice save!
I want to acknowledge Phil Corwin, Jackie's husband for saving my weekend. I was about to load up the car on the trailer after being towed off the track but he sensed my predicament and came over and methodically diagnosed the problem (dead battery associated with a burned out DME relay) and then fixed it after I was able to find a new battery and a spare DME relay from Martin's parts' bin (thank you Martin).
Another fantastic event! Thank you Jack and Robert and also Tawfik who stayed until the end to provide transponder times to those who remained after timed runs.
