Willow TT results

Postby Steve Grosekemper on Mon Feb 05, 2007 12:34 pm

Our webmaster is on a business trip and will post results later in the week as "meetings" allow.

Start thinking of excuses now...

And a big congratulations to Anthony Delanzo for TTOD in some "Old School" 911... (Now where do I find an extra 8 or so seconds...)

I think he's run the track once or twice before...
Spectacular drive Anthony!

Hey, you didn't even photoshop yourself into TTOD! KI should be a fun TT class, 5 of the top ten and 6 of the top 12  . May be even better when Bill realizes he is so KI and my dad can drive WITH turbo.

Thanks to Jack and Robert for another great event.

Good job

Postby Jackie C on Mon Feb 05, 2007 2:01 pm

Martin,
Good job with the picture and driving. Talk about being humbled! Yes, that is my name at the bottom of the list. After all the offs (which I remained exempt) and mechanical difficulties I was happy to leave Willow "unscathed". But seriously, where else can you spend 200 big track miles chasing your friends around all weekend? Thanks Jack and Robert, who couldn't have made it look more effortless. Even the corner workers like you guys. I actually enjoyed the flop of timed runs in the morning on Sunday. Will that be an option in the future? I'm in for Streets.

The results are posted on the website !!! http://results.pcasdr.org/pca.php?database=tt

 I can't beleive this  my best laptime of 1:32:47 was the second run. That's the lap I went off the track with all 4 wheels in dirt going sideways thru turn 9 and back on the track flat out thru the finish line :roflmao:

Congrats to Otto for #1 BRI! He just smashed everyone else. Otto, you're an animal (even if you need to put a lift kit on that 951 to make it through the off-road excursions).

Sorry Jad. Hoosier's aren't in the budget this year. I drove the wheels off my car to make 1:34. I'm sure there is a little more time to be had, but there is no way I'd make 1:30's (not at 13 points at least).

WOW! This is a tough crowd :D

I think I was one second+ under the PS Class record and still only 11th on the BRI.

I think I either need to put the 3200# GT2 on a diet, myself on a diet (NO! That would mean no beer!)or get a real racecar so I can follow you guy's around the track and get some leasons!

...........and here Otto seemed so mild mannered :D

Thanks again had a great time!

Have Fun! Steve

Yep - Otto is my hero in that JP turbo car. Congrats to all those with personal best times laid down - Anthony & Ethan for sure.

Martin - 4 wheels off is a DNF, right? Seriously, great drive.

Thank you Bill for noticing and yes, I was still pulling out big rocks from the undercarriage as I was switching tires today. Riding with you afterwards was quite an experience. Your times are very clearly limited by the car, not the driver because you definitively drive the wheels off that 968.

Martin, you surely would have been looking at 1:31's had you not put the four wheels off exiting nine. Nice save!

I want to acknowledge Phil Corwin, Jackie's husband for saving my weekend. I was about to load up the car on the trailer after being towed off the track but he sensed my predicament and came over and methodically diagnosed the problem (dead battery associated with a burned out DME relay) and then fixed it after I was able to find a new battery and a spare DME relay from Martin's parts' bin (thank you Martin).

Another fantastic event! Thank you Jack and Robert and also Tawfik who stayed until the end to provide transponder times to those who remained after timed runs.

You are a funny guy. I took the long way to the finish line and I didn't see any black flags waved at me. Maybe I had one wheel on the pavement afterall, but it sure was a wild ride  My other time was a 1:32.59 which thankfully wouldn't change my position anyway. :nono:

I need to fix that BRI software...I wrote it and made myself third even though Ethan I tied exactly! Imagaine being tied exactly!

Well Done Otto on your #1 BRI, I heard your turbo's were not working all that well...or was that someone else :)

I like the facet we were tied Kary and I am #2. I guess it does not go in alphabetical order :D

Thanks to Jack and Robert for a great event. I hope after all these new players are moving into KI Jack is still willing to continue with these events.

Thank you Kary. No, I do not have any excuses. My turbo was performing fine. It was Jad's turbo that had some hiccups but it does seem to have affected him.

Technically he's on V710's, but that difference is irrelevant in the big scheme. Both he and Martin are now running V710 / Hoosier. As a matter of fact, everyone is in KI is (except for Autocross, where there are a few of us still on RA1's 8) ).

My impression is that Jad and Martin have both finally hit bottom with sticky tires and monster wings as well as other goodies. I think there's a 12 step program for them if they finally come to grips with their "problem".
