Roll call for Streets.....

Postby Dan Chambers on Thu Feb 22, 2007 11:48 am

Okay, I'm curious. Who's going to Streets on the 3rd/4th? This will be the "track debut" of the black "S.I.S. Lawnblower" and Monica's first time at Streets.

Current weather forcast (accuweather.com) is for:

Saturday: Ptly. cloudy and 71-degrees day / 39-degrees low nights.
Sunday: Clear, sunny, 71-degrees day / 39-degrees low nights.

Should be great driving weather. 8)

So, who's in? :?:

The Duncan's are in. Hopefully with better results than last year  (hopefully I don't need to borrow the 911!)

I'll be there.

Dano: It seems a little early to be checking the weather @ Willow. I don't think they can be that accurate this far in advance. We had good weather 3 weeks ago at WIllow though it was a bit cool in the AM. Sunday was beautiful.

See every body there.

Dave, you're right. It is early to be checking weather forecasts. I haven't forgotten the fact that weather forecasters get paid regardless of if they're right or wrong. (Sounds alot like George W. and Dick Chaney, eh?) But, I'm holding out that the weather pattern currently anticipated remains steady. If the jetstream falls below the 38th parallel, we could see rain.

How 'bout the ladies? Will Monica be joined by other drivers of the estrogen-enriched? Jackie C.? What about Gail Dana, Christy Copeman, Debbie Sharp, etc.? I know you can all drive well. Get on out there!

I'm hoping we have a good turn-out. This is one of my favorite, technical tracks. Great opportunity for learning, and testing the limits of the Lateral G's. Right, Dan A.?

Who else?

George,

I believe we're going CW from a post in another thread earlier.

You can get teched at Dieter's, Black Forrest, Mindover or Jae Lee's (maybe a few others I'm forgetting) ahead of time or during registration Friday night @ 6 PM at the Inn of Lancaster. At least that's how we usually do it unless Jack and Robert have made changes.

Dinner after registration closes, about 7.

See you there.

I'd like to see some more of the AX crowd that hasn't done big track stuff come out for this one. Now that the rules allow 3-points, someone ought to take advantage of them, and this is probably the best track to start out at. Plus they get a big discount.

All pre-registered participants will receive a letter via e-mail in the next few days with all the details of when, where, how, etc.

Did you say discount?

Postby Jackie C on Thu Feb 22, 2007 7:45 pm

Hey Robert,
Can I have the 1st time discount as I've never driven Streets? (Don't bother answering that one.) To find out the "real" morning lows at Willow, feel free to check out the Corwin camp. The best part about staying at the track is not having to get out of bed until the cars start pulling in...See you there.

Hi Dan

Lisa and I will be there and I hope jackie and the rest of the girls will show up. I bought Lisa a drivers suite for V-day. You know it's all about the clothes  I felt I was taking a pretty big risk, but she loved it. OH BOY! Next year she gets POWER TOOLS!

I'll still be wearing my nomex quilted "sleeping bag" so a HIGH of 71 sounds great:)

Have Fun! Steve

I'll be there driving Hector's Silver SC.
I think I'll even let him drive a few laps this time out.
