Streets is over and no trash talk yet?

Postby ronaldtrotter on Mon Mar 05, 2007 8:37 am

Here it is 7:35 in the morning and no trash talk about streets. I got up this morning and turned on the computer looking forward to the entertainment and got nothing. What a let down. Hope all went well. I know you had a good time.

No need to trash talk, the world is right, a water cooled 944 took top time of day :D .

Yes thats right Mr Andrews and Anderson! When you out grow the parking lot, I might show you how to really drive :P :P

Very fun event and as always was run flawlessly. A few breakages, some fixable some not, but no major problems for the weekend. Too tired for quality trash talk, but it should come....

Martin can probably post a photo of the results???

K cars bettered last years time by 3+ seconds. Pretty solid. Were you all on V710/Hoosiers? Nice showing Kris.

I've been patiently waiting for somebody to say something all weekend, and the most I get is a quick post by Jad. I'm really disappointed. Oh well, time to go to sleep.

You did a very good job at that little baby track Jad.

As for me, I will be running a 997 Cup Car in Speed World Challenge GT this year for Global Motorsports Group in Newport Beach as the sister car to James Sofronas. Winter testing at Sebring went VERY well as James had the fastest laps of all entries in practice. I was able to stay within 3/10ths of him and was 4th fastest in the GT group. Not bad with last years car IMHO. Run a Google search for the Sebring 2007 practice results.

THIS is why you haven't seen me around. So don't get all huffy with this TTOD kid.

Curt,

I can find James, but I don't see your name in the standings? If true, very cool and how the xxxx did you manage that. Was it because of that epic drive you did at BW, that one time, with the planets alligned just so?

Curt,

Still didn't find it, but it is good to know that you can lose to really good drivers just as well as you ALMOST always lose to us :P

In case you didn't notice I beat your class record at SOW by about 1.5 seconds, and according to you, the car that set that record was a cheater 3.6, so you are even further behind. Let me do the math, you are 3/10ths slower than James Sofronas, and I am 2 seconds faster than you, then I am how much better than Sofronas  I like this math!!!!

KI is going to be a tough class this year, Martin beat the old class record by almost 4 seconds, and still finished 2nd.

Jad's time was definitely very fast. He even edged out the current AR record (83.86, Bob Ehrman), but not AR1 (79.78, Bill Dawson). BTW, thanks to all the AR guys who stayed away. 8) We missed you, too, Bill!

Based on my perusals, all of KI was on either Hoosier or Kumho. Even at 10 heat cycles, my Hoosier were much faster than Toyo, and they feel so much better in the turns. Anyone want to buy some 18" wheels wearing new RA-1s?

Yes, I was on 710's for the timed runs. The best I did on the Nittos was a 25.2, so the 710 were about a second faster. (I push a bit more in the timed runs  ) I plan on running RA1's now and hopefully Martin and the rest of KI agrees. Why should we all spend 4X as much on tires. If we all run RA1's, then we are all equal and richer.

Nice run Jad. If you think the 710's were fast it good you were not on Hoosiers. They are at least a second faster than the kumho's. My wife calls them "jewelry" :D I picked up the last Red run group session sheet B/4 I left. Everyone seemed to pick it up a LITTLE during the timed runs. But Joe Hegener ran over 2 second faster than his 1:26.89 in the last practice session with his 1:24:41. Think he was sand bagging

Ok Ronald here is the trash talk. :P
In the last practice session had I not tried to beat the burm into submission at the end of the bowl straight with my left rear suspension. (Them burm won as I seem to have bent something) I would have given Jad's "little" :D 944 a run with my 3,400# fire breathing GT2. My second and third runs in the last practice were 1:23:88 and 1:23:79 only using about 1/2 throttle:)

Great fun guy's and girls!

Have Fun! Steve - See you all in Fontana.
