"Big Rich" Okleshen, fondly remembered for his talents as barbeque master after the San Diego Region Autocrosses in the early to mid 90's, passed in his sleep on Saturday, April 7, 2007. Rich was in charge of Security at the 1992 Porsche Parade at the Town & Country, and his wife Debbie was the Hospitality Room Chairman at that Parade. Rich was active in autocross and concours in his Silver 914-6. He and Debbie loved to participate in the social events, and Debbie was our region Social Chair in the early 90's as well. I am sad to hear of the passing of Rich. He was the Barbeque Master one of the years I was Auto-X chair. Rich ws also a very big supporter of SDSU Athletics. It was always a friendly rivalry between us when his Aztecs would play my Wyoming Cowboys. My condolences to Debbie.
