Mocal Oil Cooler, Weltmeister Strut Bar and Free Classifieds

Since I have roamed our PCA free classifieds on the website and in our Windblown I have noticed adds staying published a long time. There have been a few occassions where I have seen something I wanted to buy. I will send a email or call and get no response back. Not a problem. Item sold. But then a month later still an add. Send a email, get no response. No problem. Item must have sold this time. Next month same add...

On our website classifieds sections it reads -paraphrase - "member adds free up to 25 words. Adds will run for three months". So I have taken this to mean I cant stop the add when I have sold the item. It will run for three months period. Have I made the right assumption? I haven't used our classifieds to sell since I don't want to be called or emailed for three months so I have posted on ebay two items:

Mocal Oil Cooler for Porsche 911
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mocal-Oi ... enameZWDVW

And Weltmeister Strut Brace Bar for Porche 911
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche- ... enameZWDVW

I'd rather just offer this stuff on our PCA website but don't want the 3 month hassle. I just sold a nice set of Falken Zenis' cheap. I'm sure a 914 guy would have loved to get them but I decided to flip em hassle free on Craigslist.

Moral of story - Am I right about the stuck three monther add? If so, can it be changed. If one can cancel the add, can that be made clear on the classiffieds web page?

Some forums have a Classifields section which I like for quick sales. Of course these forum posts wouldn't appear in the Witness, but it would be nice to have.

I have canceled a classified add when the item sold before the automatic three month limit. If the item has not sold, it can be run for more months, too.

It's up to the ad poster to cancel the add if the item is sold. It's actually easier than posting the add in the first place.

Good to know the add can be cancelled. Thanks!
