I’ve been trying to find out what are the best ways to take care of Nomex fabric and have come across several different recommendations on the internet - dry cleaning and washing.

“Formulated specifically for the critical requirements of Nomex® racing suits, Molecule products clean and treat Nomex® fabric in standard washing machines to remove the unique oils, fuel, and soils that are often encountered in the racing environment.”

I found this Molecule Labs website that makes products specifically for cleaning and preserving Nomex Race Suits

http://www.moleculelabs.com/products.html

I’m still not sure about the best way to clean and store them. Ex: folded, hanging? Any suggestions?

Tell Martin that real men wash their own Nomex. :P

Kris, You are the Man! I couldn't agree with you more, except I know lots of real men that eat quiche :D

I'm afraid it may be too late for Martin's race suit as it has already been washed several times at home. I'm considering driving a big track event and his suit is too big.

I have a chance to get a brand new suit that is a few years old for pretty cheap. So, I've been researching Nomex!

Actually, I wash my own race suit and here is why: I don't want her to shrink or worse turn my nomex pink :roflmao:

I can read a hint of shrinking my race suit here.
