Racepak G2X

I'm selling my G2X --I'll make someone a screamin' deal. It's a great basic unit, GPS based, provides very accurate lap times, segment times, (including segment time, entry speed, avg. speed, exit speed etc.), MPH, RPMs, lateral and acceleration Gs.
I'm moving on to a much more expensive AIM system as my requirements have changed and I'm looking to add a bunch of sensors.
PM me if interested. This is a GREAT tool for AX and TT and everyone who knows me knows that I pour over data between run sessions to figure out exactly what I need to do to get my lap times down (to a new low of 1:25.1 at Willow last weekend w/POC on a very hot track). And, I primarily credit the G2X!!

Nice time John, a 25.1 in the heat is excellent...you are getting faster and faster, well done!

Mr K. Bee - Muy Bueno on the 1:25 at Willow. At this rate you are going to need a race engineer!

At the risk of hijacking the thread, how did you and the othe SD boys do at the POC event?

Mucho gracias!
Everyone did great: Bill, Jim, Roland, and me; AND Cory completed his Racer's Clinic and ran the Sunday race with the Orange Group! Congrats Cory! Aubrey Ayer did his first Racer's Clinic and did well in the Blue Group race. Everyone had something to feel good about which was nice :D . The only problem (from my perspective) was that the Bee got passed again by Angelina Jolie lips (aka Bad Copp)on the start of the Sunday race, even tho the Bee qualified in 3rd place overall on the grid. Jim almost literally flew by the poor 'lil 299 hp Bee :o. Have him post the video of the start that I sent to him if you want to see a real torque-monster in action. I actually had to drop out of the race with a left front suspension problem (still undiagnosed)but I still felt good with the 1:25.1 which is now officially a POC GT2 lap record at WSIR (even tho Jae did a 1:24 in the Green Hornet trying to catch the Bee in the final lap of a race a few months ago --but that didn't count as a record because it was during a race!!!) Current standings in the bid for a 2007 Cup Racing Championship in GT2 have AJ Lips in 1st Place, followed by the Bee in 2nd Place. Pretty good showing for PCA/SDR boyz, but there's still alot of racing left and the Bee has plans to overtake "Lips" by making a few mods to equal the HP playing field!!

It was a great weekend and the San Diego contingent continues to make inroads into what was once an L.A. dominated club. If you are unaware there is a heated competition going on within GT-2 in the POC. GT-2 is the most heavily modified n/a group in the POC. As it stands now there is somewhat of an arms race going on. It is repleate with spies, subterfuge and a dash of daring do. Currently (please remember, ANYTHING can happen) the Bad Copp car leads. We are half way through the season and there have been spectacular efforts made by both camps to keep these cars in the points battle. I've had to use my lower hp (but no less fun) car to stay out on the track AND use it as an organ donor between races. The Bee on the other hand, made a stunning comback after Fontana, w/ PCA members donating parts of their cars to get the Bee back out there. I guess I know who my REAL friends are :? To negate the efforts put forth by my competition, I've taken to scouring the continents...sourcing parts from the motherland as well as Africa. The exchange rate is killing me!!! Jae at Mirage has been instrumental in getting these goodies where they need to go, often under cover of darkness, as the Bee's pilot has an uncanny way of showing up when the work needs to be done. I'm taking a bit of a gamble as Mirage treks north to Miller Motorsportspark next month to compete in the Air Power Invitational. I should really be saving the car for the points, but Miller is an AWESOME track. At some point a truce must be called...when that is, I don't know. As for now, I do have enough money to send my kids to the local junior college of their choice

Cogratulations to John on an outstanding drive for qualifying  He can really crank out those hot laps!!! I hope the front end is nothing too bad  My thought is the second half of the season will be closer, if that's possible, since there are less than 10 points between us now.

This is the start of Saturday's race...I didn't run the camera on Sunday.

This is the start of the Sunday race. The video is a litle jumpy, but you can clearly see the power of Bad Copp and his "AJ lips" (I'll let him explain this nickname) as he flies by the "flat out" 'lil Bee. The Bee (at 299.2 hp) probably has a 75 hp disadvantage to "Lips". So, yes, covert plans are underway to make sure this never happens again
But, there are 8 races left this year and anything can happen. :o
