SDR members crew'ing for Grand Am Nissan's :)

MikeD will *probably* delete this..LOL but I thought I would let everyone know that myself and Ryan Calvert had the oppurtunity to crew for the factory backed Playboy/Nissan 350Z racing team this past weekend at Barber Motorsports park. I was called up 2 weeks ago to help assemble 3 cars and to start on a 4th. I could plainly see that I wasnt going to get the last car done prior to the 2 18 wheelers leaving the Willow Springs shop where the cars are maintained/developed, so I called Ryan and asked him to come up. After kicking butt and getting everything loaded they asked Ryan and myself to crew for them this past weekend!! We were flown from SD to Alabama this past Tuesday. On Thursday night during our crew meeting we were was informed that I would the crew chief for the no. 35 350Z running in the GT class!!! and that Ryan would be my lead mechanic. This kinda left Ryan and myself speachless..LOL
Ryan and I worked well together all weekend (as we have done in the past) A blown head gasket side lined our car Sat. during qualifying. David Murry was in the car when it happened. The engines are all new to Nissan and relatively untested
More to come!
Just wanted to let some of the PCA SDR friends know what I have been up too since seeing some of you at Parade! Some of you may or may not know of my previous pro experience in ALMS and Grand Am over the last 7 years
(all Porsche until this year)
