Tomorrow 8/7 is already the deadline to pre-register for Saturday's AX. Please fax them in to the usual #.

Please come on out because there won't be another one until October 13th!

August 11 AX

Postby ChuckS on Wed Aug 08, 2007 1:18 pm

We have only 62 Pre-Registered for this AX. So, for those who show up, we will try to run 6-6-4 runs so each of you will get 16 runs  on what has been the longest (over a mile) and best track (based on feedback) on the southeast lot! For those of you who did not pre-register, you can still show up and register at the event. See you there!!! :D

The pre-reg team encouraged us to pre-reg for August 4 and 11 at once. I don't know how many others did it that way, but I know I did. Also, I tried that once before with no success. Did you catch the August 11 pre-reg requests that were sent in two weeks ago?

I'll eat my hat if I misplaced any pre-regs when we asked for them 2 weeks in advance! (However, if you did pre-register for both earlier, you could pm me to make sure we have yours) :D

Well, I'm sure I could find a hat made of Chocolate at some of these Chocolate places we have now - and I'm sure I would have no problem finishing it if it were!

Jackie C. pointed out that we had 3 years worth of Registrars working the pre-reg tonight. Thanks to Registration Past: Jackie Lu, Present: Jen and Jackie, Future: Laura Fulbright and Linda Shipman - Perry & Martin helped too! We will be leaving you in excellent hands!!!

And now the spiel about volunteering - Yes, it is fun and is a great way to meet people and feel the pulse of the club!

By the way - 74 people are registered and we will have lots of track time :D

I loved that decreasing radius sweeper at the back of the track, it was a lot faster than it looked. I was holding it flat footed sideways like a dirt tracker all the way around until just before the last apex and STILL wasn't getting in deep enough.
Fun....

Another great job by everyone who helped out. A fun, technical track that was actually faster than it looked like it would be. It was also nice to get some extra laps in to help figure out some of those corners. Thanks!!

Thanks John, after watching your practice lap-times I knew I had to push a little harder. :D

The track was fun, even though the east lot is not my favorite. I guess I should love it now after making TTOD.

Watch out for Jad and Jim once their car gets dialed in.

Great job Christy and the entire KI class who made it in the top 10. Jennifer and Tom Comeau fighting over 0.02 seconds for the 9th TTOD.

And it was like a two for one day for me, extra laps and some running from corner working the slamon and finish!
