I started to fill out a membership application for my son on the PCA National website and it says that you must be 18 or older to be a member. How can they participate in events if they are not allowed to join? Here is the link:

Brian:

Progeny between the ages of 16 and 18 cannot be
members, but can do autocross and autocross
school events as Junior Participants.

Go to the PCA National WebSite, and look for
Junior Participant Program info (JPP);

https://www.pca.org/members/extranet/default.asp

You'll need a PCA National login (not the same
as this Forum);

My son was 16 when he joined and I seem to remember that I signed him up as a "family member". My understanding is that he can drive as long as you as the primary member are present at the event and he signs a "Minor Liability Release" which you will find in the forms section of the SDR site.
I believe you have to be 18 to partcipate in DE and Time Trials but you can drive in AX and performance Driving school at 16
