Proposal for broader "charity" work --- Rescue

Charity work: Rescue.

Linda and I are active in the Golden Retriever Club of America. One of the club's major charity thrusts is Golden Retriever Rescue. Rescue is "hands on" charity work: the "rescuing" of unwanted and ill treated Goldens.

I propose that we build a charity for the "rescue" of ignored, ill treated, and unwanted Porsches. We could target the RS that is constantly locked up in the garage, the 944 and 914 that just sit and wastes away in the back yard, and the poor and scruffy 911S that sit dirty and stray by the side of the road.

I think that this type of work might be very rewarding ... think of all the sad Porsches that currently go unloved and neglected who might find new lives through our generosity!

What do you all think??

I'm with you Perry. Currently I'm looking for stablemate to keep my C4S company. Perhaps an unwanted 914 or 944 to help ease those costly Ax tire use blues.Looking to adopt that special car and it hopefully isn't spayed or nuetered. :roflmao:

I know you are really tired of getting beaten so severely by a 944 recently, but that just sounded bitter

I guess that would make this PPS (Porsche protective services)
And Dan should be pretty worried about losing his car if we are going work on a basis of cars that are "ill-treated"
If what he does to that poor car on the track isn't "ill-treatment" I don't know what is...

I will be happy to be a foster family to unwanted Porsches, particularily abandoned 944s. Wait, I already am! By the way, there are plenty of unwanted 944s, they just don't belong to Porsche Clubbers. Just ask Leigh and myself. We each picked up unwanted running waterpumpers this month for less than 500 bucks...It's all in who you know, I guess!

I know that my track car sits alone so much that it may not be very receptive of another car in the yard.

I knew a fast gal named Jackie
Whose times make me feel like a lackie
When asked where one finds
Rescue Porsches for a dime
Her answer borders on Tackie!!

Pretty good, Perry

I have recently adopted an 84 944 spec car that shall be unveiled this weekend at the DE/TT school. I'm not sure if it was neglected, abused or unwanted. I plan on paying attention to it and making it feel loved and wanted...AND THEN DRIVING THE HELL OUT OF IT IN SPEC CLASS  Please do not call protective services on me  I'm only doing this to protect my Boxster
