I've decided to sell my 1995 993 and look to get a pure track car. It's #238 in the picture forum and listed on Craigs list here:

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/car/468277453.html

Maintained locally by Mirage Int'l and Black Forest. A fellow PCA member could get a killer deal!!!

Good looking but the car is far from RS parts...at least a true RS....
good luck selling it, it looks great!

Why the sale? I have several different people asking me about this car :)

How many TT's/Open track days on it? How many AutoX's?

One thing to be sold/owned by Mirage..but.. was it serviced by a dealership? at the regular intervals? prior to Mirage?

Clean Carfax? Any damage to the car that you paid for and didnt run through insurance? (it wont show up on Carfax if you do this.. :)

Compression numbers?

Smog? Any secondary air issues?

If I hook a PSTII to it, will it show me that the CEL has been reset/cleared recently?

B:

U can check it out at the AX tomorrow. She'll be on display as I'll be driving the Monkeyzoo Spec car!!

Bring your gadget and hook it up - never had a CEL light that I know of or SAI issue. Smogged no problem.

Not sure why AXs, DEs, or TTs would make a difference? Are you saying running a 993 like Porsche intended is a bad thing? Have you ever seen the 993 video with Danny Sullivan driving? Do you think people stopped buying 993's because he was doing 150+ around a track.

There's no hidden agenda's here - the car is just for sale! Trust me, I'm glad to keep it if i don't get what I want (plus my wife will stop calling me a crazy bas----) and yes, one day, I will beat Dave, Tawfik and Shannon (maybe not on the same weekend).

Dave, you should have ran it today - I think today could have been your day. :)

I think your with your price of $26.5K, it will get snapped up pretty quick.

Thanks Brad Roberts!

Brad: Thanks for your concerns. I changed the water today in the engine. ( that's where the oil use to go, right?) Even added a little water to the tranny since it was low. Should run cooler now, hopefully?

I haven’t seen the water temp greater than 300 degrees since I did this. That’s the thang that swings up and down up, and up and down, and up and down!) Can’t stand it, that hot water indicator goes from 60 to 300 – then I shift---goes from 200 to 300 ---then I shift. I keep looking but it never gets very low and when I step on the gas whoowee it goes over 500 degrees! Is this not good for the car?

I'm getting that SAI error so I'm not sure what to do?? Can i borrow your OBDII checker thang? Any advice would be greatly, um, no, eh, yo, itch....based on your earlier advice I’ve removed all the light bulb inside the tach and speedo – so guess what? No errors anymore!! Thanks for your input! Where else should I look?

Don't worry!!! I didn't run it at the AX this weekend fearing that I'd have some type of failure - saving the car for street and highway mileage 'cause I know you agree they're better than those ubiquitous AX/DE/TT days.

Thanks again, Brad Roberts – no I’m not Brad Roberts, I’m thanking Brad Roberts! :D

Whoa! I asked typical questions that ANTYONE with *some* 993 knowledge would ask before buying a 993. My potential buyers rely on me to ask the questions they dont KNOW to ask. Have you ever had a PPI done on anything you have bought in the past? Or do you buy everything blind on "good faith"?

Thanks for making fun of me. I appreciate it. Glad I didnt see this sooner. 20+ plus years of wrenching/working with PRO teams.. havent been made fun of.
