Smog referee station phone number?

Need help with the referee station phone number....can't get my car to reset readiness codes so just want to go to the "station" and "getter done"

Kary, Call (800) 622-7733 to make an appointment.
Pick Miramar college as the location. They are a very friendly group.
Basically the referree is a mechanics professor and he will have students do the smog test.
I had mine done there last time I couldn t get the readiness codes to set after I had my battery disconnected for a long time.
The hardest part is seeing the students stalling the car trying to back it up on the rollers because of the RS FW.

The car has to pass visual inspection and they will ask about all the aftermarket parts. I told them they were part of the sports package that Porsche sells

I do not think any parts that are not smog related are in question, were they?

In my case Aftermarket exhaust (Fabspeed Supercup) and Air Box (Fabspeed Supercup with no Lid)
All aftermarket parts which are related to smog need to have a CARB sticker on them.
Of course if they are part of the sports package that Porsche sold with our cars back then they they are not aftermarket

Do you think I will have a problem with straight pipes and no cat ? Seriously I am bone stock on the motor, tranny, and exahust....should not be an issue except for the darn readiness codes......

The Readiness Codes should reset after 30-60 minutes of normal driving, it is only after you Reset them does the OBD sydtem go into Not Ready Mode.....common on the Subaru's as well.

The 993 is notorious for not reseting the codes even under normal driving....unfortuantely!

I have not seen the 08 catalog, do you have a link to the electronic catalog?

993 readiness codes are notorious for not firing up. Some cars are worse than others. I have one customer who drives short distances (8mi.) each day and has never been able smog without going the the referee. About the only 993's that pass right away are daily freeway drivers.

BTW- Put the stock air filter cover back on for a no glitch test run. Also for those farther south the referee in Chula Vista is very Porsche savy and is aware of their "personality quirks". His name is Mike and is a good guy.
