Thanks to the autocross crew and also to track designer Jackie Lu for a fun and challenging track to run.

My buddy came out to try his hand at photographing cars, here's his results from yesterday. Mostly of my car, but a few of you got some attention as well:

Kudos to Jackie Lu for a great track design. We miss you Jackie! Great pictures guys! A great day all in all although GS class has its own Lewis Hamilton to contend with now:shock: And the biermeister was sorely missed at the end of the day.

I saw Jackie today at SOW for a POC event.
I did let her know that everyone was upset at her for such bad track design........

Jackie

I don't recall seeing the large orange counterweight on your right rear wheel - Did you put that on special for the timed runs?

The Nov 10 AX results have been posted. You can get them here: http://www.pcasdr.org/porsche_events/track_events/autocross/results/index.php

(still working on the Oct event)

:?: Not to gripe, but I turned a 75.03, a 75.6X, and a 76.XX in timed runs. It's still on my Hotlap, which ran about 0.3 seconds slower than official times. :?:

Who do I contest The results to?

By any chance did # 494 (me) and 474 (D. Middleton) get mixed up? The car numbers and results are too coincedental. (Sorry, Don)

Thanks.

Sorry, Dan. My posted times were consistent with the announced times and display times after each lap. So, I'm sure my times are correct.

I don't know about your times. It will be interesting to see who you talk to you. Ricki? Martin? Doug?

Dan,
I don't know about your results, but we DID have a terrible time Saturday reading a lot of car numbers. We often had to have all three of us in the trailer confirm the numbers and sometimes ask the starter to go up and read the numbers. And corner workers complained they couldn't read the numbers either. :banghead:

With the sun behind the starting line, all the taped numbers that weren't large and contrasting were difficult to read. (You didn't have a black 911 with a dark red/purple taped number, did you?)

Seriously, any question on numbers had all three of us double-checking, and the computer lets us know if we try to score extra laps for anyone, so we *think* we got everything right. :)

I am going to propose to the AX chairs that for future events, anyone entering the hot pits with non-contrasting numbers will be asked to pull out of line and fix them before running. :nono:

Kim, Dan ran in the first run group. The sun wasn't an issue at that point. But, Doug was on the laptop keyboard for the first group. Could that be the explanation? :)

Hey, Doug, what up?

Hmmm... I think Doug did mention something about adding a "ballast" factor to compensate for the lack of water weight in certain cars.

Don, I'm glad you turned good times. Good job!

I still have the times on the Hotlap, but honestly, I'm not going to sweat it for this year ... i only drove in 3 AX's for points.

Maybe I'll go back to 1944, or 4941, or something. That would be an easy way to avoid any possible confusion in the future.

Sure was fun!
