Dec. AX - Compliments to us all I got from some of the OC me

My student and his friend from Orange County were down here for their first San Diego event.

They told me how impressed they were in how we all pitched in, got things set up, kept things going and there was no down time - lots of driving! A real full day!

While many of us sign up for volunteer positions, this kind of a smooth event wouldn't happen without the numerous folks who just pitch in and help.

Thanks to all you volunteer volunteers for helping. We have a great club. :D

The San Diego club's people (that is all of you, folks) is why Linda and I joined and stick around. From the moment we walked up to the trailer on December 16, 2006, there has always been someone with a friendly hello and a willingness to explain and assist (in our case it was Curt and Janet, thank you very much).

We were most empressed not only with the everyone's friendliness but also with how everyone was working to put things away ... and most of all with our being invited to share the beer :-)!

Seriously ... if all other clubs were this hard working and friendly, we'd all be joiners!
