Daytona 24 on Fox

Postby MikeD on Sat Jan 26, 2008 12:51 pm

Was it Fox or DishNetwork that screwed me out of the first 1.5 hours of the Daytona 24? I was more than a little peeved that I recorded an hour and a half of cartoons! So I was curious if it was something DishNetwork decided to do or if Fox blew it this morning. Did those of you on Cox, TimeWarner, or DirectTV get to watch the first 1.5 hours?

It was a FOX thing to tape delay the beginning of the race. What a bonehead move for racefans.
At least I got to see it as have east coast feeds on DTV but not in HD

I'm with you Mike. I was also way pissed off at Fox and Cox. Called Cox, they said there was nothing they could do. :x

It looks like it was all Fox's problem as Time Warner also gave me lots of cartoons to start the day

I got to see the first 12 and last 6 hours. But then again I was in Daytona. There was a bit of action in the first corner of the first lap. The GT cars had one car check up and cause 2 cars to spin and go off in turn 1. I recorded it on Speed, I'll let you know if that was OK or not when I get back home tonight.
