Ted---that really --really blows. I am so sorry---I wonder if posting "Wanted 356 parts" on craigslist or the paper would yield any results. I have to think they are going to try and part it out--hopefully its not in Mex.
What part of town was it stolen from?

Very sorry to hear about your car and trailer.
I expect you'll be at the end of month LA Lit show weekend swap meet checking for clues.
fyi.
On February 24th, 2008, the 356 Club will present the So Cal All Porsche Swap and Car Display. The event will be held at the Auto Kennel (
www.AutoKennel.com), located at 3001 Red Hill Avenue in Costa Mesa, California. Along with hosting the event, Auto Kennel will have some vintage Porsche race cars on display and their doors will be open all day. There will be vendors dedicated to our Porsche hobby and plenty of swap space will be available.

Guys, you might want to invest in a lo jack system for your trailers. In El Cajon alone I know of three people that have had them pulled right off their properties. Tom McBurnie at Thunder Ranch had a 24ft enclosed Featherlight trailer ripped off about 2 months ago. Claude Bells customer at Bell engineering 3 doors down had the same thing happen. Claude knew of a few others that had also been ripped off. I had a cheap wheel dolly trailer stolen about the same time. It was even chained up!!! People are getting desperate, and we need to protect ourselves. My BMW 740i was stolen abut a year ago and I did not even know it had lo jack... the previous owner had it installed. Once I called it in stolen they turn on the transponder and I had the car back in less than an hour.

Ted,
I am sorry to read your posting of the loss of your trailer and 356c coupe. My 24 foot Featherlite trailer was stolen in December from behind my shop and of course no word of recovery fromt he police.
I have a friend that is in the Federal Police in Mexico and will transmit your photos to him. Maybe you will get lucky.
