Wow! Very tight grouping at the top--the first 4 within 9/10s of a sec.

Curt must have done a great job in his GT3 to come 5th in QS, only .16 behind Jad.

Interesting that the times are very similar to last year (http://results.pcasdr.org/event_standings.php?time_format=1&database=tt&event_date=2007-03-04). I figured that the new gators would have picked up the pace a bit more. How was the weather?

It was extremely windy. Steady 20 to 30 mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph.
On saturday the wind was blowing from the west and on Sunday from the North East.

This weekend the track photographer got the awesome picture of the year featuring Tawfik and his car....and some dirt ...well, a lot of dirt.

Tawfik - time for a new avatar for you. Please post ASAP!

Hope it didn't take too long to clean out the car!

The new gators made it MUCH easier to be fast, but did not really make it much faster. Before you needed perfect timing and lots of bravery to go flat through the S's, now it is just straight and relatively easy.

Very fun weekend and very few mechanical problems, none that I know of? Too bad I learned endurance Hoosiers suck and I had to run old RA1's or the TTOD may have been a bit different :? I have other excuses as well :D

The 997 Cup car was entertaining as well. Can the club buy a few of those for teaching????

Well Tom, thanks for the kudos, but it was 1.16 seconds behind Jad, not .16. I think my hair was on fire or something. It was great fun and the car was handling well.
Jae has been telling me that since I have an adjustable suspension, I should try adjusting it. I played with my sway bars a bit, and I have to say, Jae is right.
As posted elsewhere, thanks to Bernie Bogard, Peter Busalacchi, John Komer and especially Dave Gardner for some great instruction.

That makes a lot of sense, thanks.

No broken suspension from the ditches? Or have those been cleaned up, too?

For my first time at streets I had a Blast. On saturday both Mike and i were scrubing in our hoosiers and kumho's and both ran 2/10's of sec faster with Mike at a 1:23.01 to my 1:23.31. The blue car worked great, we were hitting 5th gear on the front straight and heading towards the chicane out of the bowl. Thanks dad for the super short third thru fifth gears!

Ooops! Read it wrong on my first look at the results. Still, a 5th place overall was an excellent result.

Erik, great shot digging in and launching.
If you could reach the pedals on my car I'm sure you would of got a 22!

I proposed a tire pact with Mark, Erik and Roland.
Run the old tires and leave the new ones in the trailer.
That idea didnt fly. :D

My minor mechanical gripe.
A bad seal in the left front JRZ shock.
As I recharged the left front shock with N20, shock oil would spray out the schrader valve. :(
Drive-able mostly except for some right hand turns.

Thanks to Robert and Jack for putting on a great event. And did anybody else notice Jack Millers 911 on the news this morning as it was being towed up the 15? I think the footage was shot on Fri.
