Custom muffler shop?

Postby glenn_993 on Wed Mar 05, 2008 3:47 pm

This question was asked a couple of years ago with only one reply. I'm now in need of some exhaust work and would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks

I think Beavis and Butthead have a shop out in El Cajon. They'll fix that sagging exhaust of yours.

Glenn-

Ed Hansen Muffler out in Casa De Oro has always done good work for me at reasonable prices.

Agree great shop, been going there since the late 80s.
Request Kevin for your tech when you make your appointment.
He likes to do the custom jobs.
Jae Lee / Mirage sends work there too.
I was just in there last month for a 2 into 1 for my 911.
Tell'm tall Mike from the Porsche club sent ya. :D

Another vote for Ed Hansen...
The most honest reasonably priced exhaust shop period, and great quality work.
Kevin just did my F-150 exhaust and does custom stuff for the shop all the time. If you can draw in on a napkin Kevin can build it.

Shameless plug for Lyons Muffler in San Marcos. Jim's been doing custom racing exhausts for over 20 years and sponsors Laurie Scheussler and myself.

Hahaha, yeah that was something. I don't think I drove more than 50 yards and I was already being pulled over :?. The Sheriff was nice, but knew his stuff and mentioned a short list of non DOT approved parts on my car. :D

Ed Hanson http://www.edhansonsmuffler.com does great work at a very good price and fast service. Bring your ideas and drawings with you.
