Thanks for all the kind words. It was GREAT FUN! Mark's David and Goliath Challenge shirts were a great hit. Ron and I need to set at least three more dates. I guess if that was Goliath's "B" Team yesterday "DAVID" will have to pick up the pace:)
Also, Thanks for all the help yesterday!
PS: OCR is pretty good at getting sponsorship.

Thanks to all of the SDR folks for making the trip up. This gives me a great excuse to make it back down to San Diego after a 4-5 year hiatus.

Boy, there is some strange accounting going on here. Is this the "new math"? What did Mark Twain say--"There are lies, damn lies, and then statistics" or something like that?
The correct way to judge this would be to add up the total indexed time for the 5 top-placing members in each region, and the lowest total wins. A time that waxes the field by 2 seconds should be rewarded more than one that wins by a tenth, or a hundreth. With this "place=points and low score wins" system, you get the same increment no matter what the margin, instead of assigning true relative values to the total depth and amplitude of the team's achievement.
You guys are going to get SO WAXED when you come down here and have to deal with Goliath's A-team on their home court, Steve!![]()

I have got to get my FP-class BRI car out of the shop and back on the road.

It is really a great American political tradition that "might makes right" and the "big guys make the rules." Since we're the Goliath here, we should naturally get to lay down the laws. Unless, of course, it turns out when we see the results that our indexed time total was higher than yours, when we will promptly make another motion to change the tabulation to some other scheme under which we can dominate. It's really very simple.seguina wrote: Hi Tom
Your above point system is so sophisticated it defies rational analysis
It's the Dolphin that gets waxed, silly! So what are you saying. You going to "WAX" our cars for us
