instructor status

for everyone in this club who knows who i am,

i know our club is short on instructors....and i have been wanting to become one, do you think it is a good idea for ME to become an instructor?

knowing my strengths and weaknesses... and were i am at with my driving...?

I think we should talk, for sure. As mentioned in another thread, knowing the fundamentals is key to good driving, and being an Instructor. I think you have the fundamentals knowledge, and are well on your way to qualifying as Instructor. Now we need to check your knowledge (written test) and evaluate your communication skills (two ride-alongs).

Find me at the next AX (May 10) or speak with Chuck Sharp and/or Carl Scragg. Joining the "Educational Corps" of the PCA-SDR is a time-honored position/tradition with SDR that rewards in many, many ways. Helping someone better their driving skills, and finding insight into your own driving techniques are just the tip of the iceberg.

So, let's talk ... 8)

Rumor has it instructor in training, CDI in waiting...I personally have lots of dirt on Josh, but I'm saving it for the Witness!

I'll report that Josh did extremely well at his first track event, OCR -Streets, and won his class. His driving was exemplary, well controlled and very smooth. There were no off track excursions. He received a number of very positive comments from instructors. Just a little more full use of the track and there are going to be tears streaming in the 944 classes. Nice driving, Josh.
