Thanks for the "Rescue" at the DE!

We want to thank Tim Comeau, Jim Hicks and Tyler Hendricks for coming to the rescue at the DE today. :D

We sheared off the Ball Joint Pin on the Spec car that left the suspension hanging by a proverbial thread. The car could not even be towed. Tim went back to his shop and retrieved a spare control arm and the three of them replaced it on the spot. We were able to drive home!

This is a perfect example of just how great this club is. These guys were there after everyone else had gone to help out friends. Many others also volunteered to help as well but only so many could fit under it.

This is but one example. There were several break downs that other club members pitched in and "went the extra mile" to help out.

Thanks to you all! What a great club!

Tim, Jim and Tyler - Many thanks! We owe you one! :!:

Besides all that we need to Thank you and Curt for a great day. Big chunks of pavement flying through the air and corded tires how much fun can you have in one day.

I have a lot of people to thank for making my day a fun one.
First, my daughter Kelsey for "sponsoring" me in her car (after I broke mine with wrenches  )
I'd like to thank Curt and Chuck for making this event happen, I bet it was't easy.
But most of all I'd like to thank all the highly skilled drivers in the much faster cars behind me (everyone else there in other words) who managed not to run over me like a spastically moving cone in the middle of the track.
Next time I'll have my car.....

Looks like you guys had a great day. Perfect weather, low numbers of drivers in groups, and lots of speed.

One question: did anyone have any brakes or tires (esp. on the right side) left?

We'll make the next one ...

Tim and the gang also came through for me big time with the fire extinguisher mount and moral support while I scrambled to get my car past tech inspection.

SDR is a great bunch of folks! :D

Oh, you guys know me too well......

Sorry if I seemed ungrateful for the nice comments, you guys, but, I was out of town delivering our newest 944 Spec car, CRE # 008, to a gentleman in Colorado!
Hey, it's our pleasure to help out. Just pass the PCA love on to others! Even if they aren't in a 944...... :D
