HANS Device engineered by ....

Postby martinreinhardt on Mon Jun 16, 2008 12:28 am

During a conversation with my parents about my new HANS device. My dad mentioned that his was made by "Schroth" and that in Europe the HANS Device was sold under three brands: Stand21, OMP or Schroth.

After a little google search I found the different branded HANS devices. Each vendor seem to have added their own improvements and it looks as the base is the same with the exception of the Schroth. I thought it was interesting enough to share on the forum as the HANS device is now required for many of us. (See pictures below)

Did you find any testing that made one better then the other?

HANS

Postby Mike Pons on Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:32 am

Speaking of HANS when I purchased my HANS device the vendor never asked me for size and they simply sent me a Medium, which does not fit me. I have owned it for almost a year and have not worn it more than once. I am looking to trade someone whom may have been stuck with an XL which is what my fat neck requires. I am open to suggestions.
Best Regards
Mike

The Official Hans device lists these brands as overseas dealers, which makes me believe that they are all using the same base. Some may have improved the comfort and the Schroth base may look different because it's a 30 degree angle.
