Bought my first Porsche!...where to service in San Diego?

Postby maxgforce on Tue Jul 08, 2008 11:03 pm

Call me crazy but I just bought my first Porsche.....and it's a wild one. It's a 1984 911 turbo that's been turned into a 930 RSR. It's was featured in Excellence in 11/07.....3.4 L with 500 hp and 993 turbo brakes and suspension.

So my question is where should I have my car serviced here in San Diego? I'm headed to Black Forest in the morning for a baseline inspection of the car. A mechanic I'm not, so I'm looking for a good shop I can trust to do good work.

Anyone have any other suggestions or advice?

I have had great personal experience with both Black Forest and Mirage. Dieter's is often recommended by others, too.

I concur with Kris as well. Get the car checked out and come down to Qualcomm this Saturday to check out an Autocross. Welcome to the slippery slope.

+3. I've used all three shops (Black Forest, Dieter's, Mirage) with 2 different P-cars (3, counting my wife's 912) ... all with very high satisfaction. You can't go wrong with any of these three.

Hope you like you're "new" car. 8)
