PCA SDR

I want to give a big thanks to Phil. Yesterday at the El Toro AX my 944 decided to quit running. In the heat Phil checked my DME which was good and then gave me advice on the speed and reference sensors. We couldn't fix it there but he went above and beyond to help me.

By the way it was the speed sensor, which I would never have known about with out Phil's advice.

Phil also diagnosed (over the phone no less) the dead speed sensor on my street car.
His comment "If you haven't changed it like I told you to before you bring it in for me to troubleshoot, I'm charging you double.....dummy" got me to change it even though I was arguing (feebly) that it read OK on a meter.
He was right, of course. It was the speed sensor, I installed a new one and it fired right up.

And I am a dummy.

It was a bummer losing a competitor, but good to see you again Ron.

I'm REALLY glad I picked a Porsche to compete with...everybody I've meet has been awesome and very eager to help a fellow in need; especially the PCA-SDR folks!

My problem was I didn't even know what a speed sensor was. So Phil showing me the sensor helped a bunch.

What I should have said is I still don't know what it is but I know where it is.

I thought the speed sensor on a 944 was the big round gauge on the dash board that reads 0-120 mph?

I thought so to until my 944 didn't start.
