7/27 DE Thanks

Postby Curt Yaws on Tue Jul 29, 2008 12:26 pm

A big thanks to Gary Burch for a great track at the July 27th DE. Everyone especially loved the high speed right hand sweeper at the end of the front straight. It was 4 wheel drift heaven.

And thanks to Herb Meeder and George Taylor for organizing the Tech Team.

All the other volunteers know who they are, and deserve a big pat on the back.

We had 64 drivers, some kind of record for DE attendance in at least the past four years. :D

Sorry the Porta-Potties were not up to normal....the delivery company put them in the wrong place. Sounds like SCCA got them in the SE lot.

Thanks to everyone who attended and helped out. We hope you had a great time.

Thanks to everyone who helped out at the DE. Lots of fun!! I especially enjoyed the 944 run group. The track was very fast for our cars and it was a blast chasing everyone around the track.

Great time, great track. This is the first event that I had to spec out the new struts from Mirage. All I gotta say is, Jae .... You Da Man!

I also enjoyed dicing it with Steve G. in John K's spec944. That was fun trying to stay with you, Steve. If only I didn't have those darn street tires .....

Big thanks from Monica and myself for everyone who stayed to help load the trailer. You know who you are, and we salute you!

Sorry I'll miss the next 2 events, but there's always September....

Thanks, Curt, Chuck, Herb/George, and all who helped.

Great fun! 8)
